When are these on sale? Know quite a few coming out the woodwork for this one that haven’t been away all season. Also with it being a sure sell out are there plans to sell tickets like we did at Arsenal. So nobody gets monk on about the whole sitting standing thing
-
The info is all on Rovers official website

Probably didn’t help in a 40 row ground they did only back 6 rows

Will it be the same ones coming out of the woodwork as the ones at the Arsenal game, who did n't give a shit about people behind them when they were stood up on the front rows?
-
Senior tickets £13 that will do me nice

It was just plain selfish at end of the day, absolute moronic individuals/groups who didn't seem to care even when their was elderly and children that couldn't see the game. I remember it happened at Port Vale a few years ago. As some of the people I go with prefer to sit down and at the end of the day if the stand was for standing the seats wouldn't be there in the first place. There should have been more of a structure in place and to have had one side for standing and then another for sitting down, unfortunately if you end up being in the seating section it's tough s**t.

No most of these didn’t go Arsenal. I stood and stood in the standing section.
This needs to be done v Rotherham then but not just 200 tickets in a 2500 away end.
-
Big difference between Rotherham and Arsenal is the away end at the Emirates is pretty shallow between the rows, whereas Rotherham is pretty steep - total opposite ends of the scale.
You could probably stand up at Rotherham's ground ad the person behind will still see the pitch fine.
Concourse space will be the biggest problem as it's stupidly small anyway and we'll sell out.
-
2500 max away capacity? First time supply isn’t going to meet demand. Sell out easy if so
-
Just got ours i was only on phone 5 mins 😊
-
Just got 2 from the ticket office, there wasn’t a queue

Don't know what everyone is worried about. If you want a ticket, you'll get a ticket.

Don’t you think we’ll sell out for a Saturday game 15 miles away against a local rival we haven’t played away for ages?
-
Also how were they selling tickets?

Yes. It'll make general sale though.
-
Also how were they selling tickets?
Through the glass windows with the little gap at the bottom!
-
Got 2 this morning they are selling them in blocks
-

Do you have to break the blocks to get the tickets out?
-
Are they Lego or Duplo?
-
No hound you have to break the blocks to get in
-

It'll be a breeze breaking the blocks anyway.

2006 I believe last time in the league, 0-0 at Milmoor.
If we don't sell out, it'll be embarrassing.
-
The problem with a sell out with DRFC. Half our fans want to stand the other half sit. One way or the other one half is not going to be happy. I don’t understand why we did it for Arsenal but not for Rotherham.
-
Tickets can be bought online and selected also btw
-
Gone on members sale today, got mine crack of dawn this morning and only blocks 5, 6 & corner 7 left, i'd say thats 60-70% of the allocation gone. About 1500-1750 quickly adding that up.
Not sure how many have got members cards but they're worth the money, and i've had a few of my mates message me a bit twitchy arsed thinking it'll sell out before general sale.
-
Just ordered mine now and was asked if I wanted to be near the back or front
-

Don't make any difference mate, the brain dead will still stand at the front

More than likely but equally the awkward will still sit on the back row just like at scunny the other day....
-
They are selling fast then. Shit parking at Rotherscum so got to be the train for me and my son
-
Any idea how many we have sold ?
-
If you sell out just go in the home end.
There should be lots of interesting songs to sing about that dump since the last time you met them...

The away end is steeper than any stand most of our fans will have been in. If there's any argy-bargy it could be like the surges from the good old days.

I don't think the friends & families of the 66 crushed at Ibrox & the 93 at Hillsborough would refer to them as "The good old days".
-

Three blocks sold out and only 3 rows left in the corner, just 3 blocks left to be sold apparently
-
Any chance of them giving us more tickets?

Sorry Colin you're quite right, should have put my last comment in quotes too. Thankfully there were a few good days in the last 140 years.
-

I can't see it as we have got 2500 ish but stranger things have happened
-
We have plenty more to sell yet.

Ticket sales so far: SW1 - 1 seat available, SS7 and SS6 sold out, SS5 behind the goal - sold out, SS4 also behind the goal currently on sale 370 seats left. SS3 yet to be released but last of the large blocks, SS2, SS1 and SE1 are smaller sections and have yet to be released. It looks likely that tickets will be available for general sale but unlikely any will be behind the goal.
-
Got mine today you pretty much pick your location. I want to stand I have third row from the back. I would hope anyone wanting to stand has picked the back 10 rows so it doesn’t ruin it for those who can’t stand for 90 mins. However the same needs to work the other way around it’s just common sense.
-
I can understand people wanting to stand but quite frankly there should be no standing allowed in a seating area. It is unbelievably dangerous. More dangerous in a seating area than an area without seats. Can you imagine what would happen if people were pushed from behind in a seating area. I am amazed it is allowed at all to be honest. At many of the premier league grounds there are many thousands of fans stood up behind the goals.
It is time some safe standing areas are brought back into the all seater stadiums.
Having said that I would much rather sit these days and I think nearly all over sixty’s would. Probably most people over forty prefer to sit.
-
I think that being seen to stand all game is some kind of badge of honour.
-

No just what some people prefer. Pathetic
-
Opinions padge.
I know what I hear at matches.
-
It is not pathetic when you go for your ticket and a new woman is in there not asking you where you want to sit and giving you the back row and you can't stand for long so might not be able to see much of the game now that is a total joke
-
A couple less pints beforehand might help though Dave😆
-
You never know mate lol
-

Two less pints mate?
Never.
-
I don't usually drink at a match as it makes me need the loo all the time and I can't get up and brown the steps to good it's crap getting old lol

Aye standing up is very dangerous. In fact I may just sit down tomorrow to avoid that health and safety issue of standing up....

Keep getting old.
The alternative isn’t very good.
-
To true
-
When I bought my tickets I asked to sit where I wanted. It wasn’t hard having a conversation with another human being even a young lady who is younger than my own daughter in my case, it’s called communication and politeness. The real problem will occur on the day when those who don’t possess a season ticket/membership card buy tickets but want to be behind the goal. Not the people who work in the ticket office fault but it is going to happen
-
I wonder what the stewarding will be like when those who haven't got tickets with their mates try and stand with them ,i.e. 3 people in 2 places. Last season at Mansfield it happened when they tried this but the stewards didn't take much action.
-
They stand on the steps to and no one can get up and down them

I'm afraid that I have to disagree with you here, there are no figures to suggest that standing in a seated area is any more dangerous than standing on an open terrace. According to the data there are two occasions when injuries are reported in seated areas, the first is when a goal is scored (obviously ) and the second occasion is when people are leaving the stadium. Both of those occasions are also permitted under the current legislation. At a Premier League level it has become apparent over recent years that the legislation is having no affect whatsoever, and has reached a point where a lot of clubs have given up trying to enforce that.
It's just a matter of time before the Sports Minister bows to the inevitable and agrees for safe standing sections to be installed.

Grow up. Just sit somewhere else. What does it matter what it says on the ticket?

1252 tickets left as of this morning, my mate rang up after trying to sway him towards getting a membership.

It matters what it says on the ticket in a sold out area with allocated seats.
Suppose four people book to sit together and end up having to move.
It would be very unlikely there would be four seats together and what if the people whos’ seats They had gone to turned up and wanted the seats themselves.
Stewards would move on the people who didn’t have the correct tickets.
Not as simple as grow up is it.
-
I don't understand why everyone doesn't just go on the ticket website, pick where they want to sit and have them delivered at an extra cost of just £1
It would certainly be much easier than sitting at your keyboard complaining that you are going to be sat somewhere that you don't want to be :headbang:
-
Axholme lion you grow, up and stand somewhere else, at the back where no one has a problem with it, on the concourse with a beer in hand if you want, again no problem. but not in front of someone sat down in a seated area.
It is ignorant, bullying, and totally out of order.
-
Approx 1100 left per ticket office just now.

does not matter what the people that want to stand think, as the answer is they are called ALL SEATER STADIUMS for a reason

They're never full up to capacity. I went in the home end at Forest earlier in the season as we had sold out all our tickets. I got spotted and chucked out and put in the away end which we had supposedly sold out and was full. No problem.
-
"Got spotted and chucked out " maybe the knuckles dragging on the floor gave it away

Ha ha ha. No, not really. It was just a lapel badge. But seen as the Germans were forgiven for the war quicker than Millwall for Luton it's what we learn to put up with.

Il be standing and singing wherever I am.
Clubs do it up and down the country every week, why does it have to be an issue for us?
Did every one of you sit down at Bel vue as well?
-
Kieron, if I and my family were sat and had been for some time and you stood in front of me I think that I would have every right to be annoyed. I would usually be sat to one side rather than bang in the middle and don't have a problem with fans standing. By the same token fans wanting to stand can't ignore other fans views. A bit of common sense on both sides of the argument goes a long way. If you want to stand move higher up towards the back to upset fewer fans and be early to get your place.
-
Idler, you just beat me to this, I had written something very similar.

Move higher up and take someone else’s allocated seat?
Ive asked for seats at the back but the problem is when fans on the 4th row from the back expect the 20 fans standing in front to sit down because they want to.

As I posted earlier, one of the main problems is " 3 people standing where there's only 2 seats " like at Mansfield last season. I'm able to stand for 90 minutes so that doesn't bother me but not to be crowded out by some 16 year old who's a sniff of a barmaid's apron.

I would argue that it is a serious argument when the actual class clown has already declared that he will stand where he wants to.

Why are 3 people standing where’s there’s only 2 seats?
Because they’d be forced to sit down if they sat in their allocated seats by you miserable t**ts.
If modern day away games aren’t for you stay away I’m sure you won’t be missed.

I'm nearly 50 and I can sit and stand.. I quite like to stand at games and welcome safe standing initiatives.
I also respect that my fellow supporters may wish to, or have to, sit for the game.
Why don't YOU stay away, you'll not be missed with that selfish intolerant attitude..??

Kieron if you're ever lucky enough to get a girlfriend or partner and take them somewhere else than Macdonalds for a meal, you might want to be able to enjoy your meal not be pushed up against someone else

" Modern Day away games " 😳😳😳

So if I come to your house and there are two people sat on your settee Keiron. I take it you will be happy for me to stand in front of your TV blocking your view?

No cos it is him so that is not on

Kieron, are you sure you have got the five and zero the right way round?

" Modern Day away games " 😳😳😳
It's a strange phrase that I've never heard before either. What does that mean? Travelling away these days is quicker, cheaper, more comfortable, safer, and to be honest much more boring than it ever used to be!
-
Kieron, I'm taking my 7 year old to the game, if your seat is directly in front of his, you will not be standing all game, that i can assure you of.

Kieron if you're ever lucky enough to get a girlfriend or partner and take them somewhere else than Macdonalds for a meal, you might want to be able to enjoy your meal not be pushed up against someone else
on the other hand, they may - as a couple - enjoy exploring the world of the frotteur - a person who obtains sexual gratification by touching or rubbing against the clothed body of another person in a crowd. - it's very big in japan, so i am lead to believe, where there's a lot of it on the extremely overcrowded public transport networks
not so sure how macdonalds staff would react, though - or stewards in rotherham...
-
Hopefully all this was sorted / has been sorted by the Sitting / Standing Ticketing ?
-
Frig me. I can't believe you lot are still going on about standing up! I thought going to a match was supposed to be a bit of a laugh. I'll bet you all have a great time. ;)
-
It’s not about sitting or standing, it’s about fans respecting each other. Or not, as the case may be..
I thought the idea was about watching the football?
-
It’s all about a day out with the lads isn’t it!
-
For some it might be, but for me, and I suspect many others, its more about watching the game..

Correct. If the selfish minority are not blocking your view.
-

it's not at all it's about paying to go to something you enjoy and being able to watch what you or I have paid to see and not someone's back that is stood up in front of you
-
Correct Vicar - Personally as I said above it seems bizarre to be talking about this again and again
We have "agreed" that the Standers go in Row R upwards and the Sitters go in Rows A to Q
Simples (surely) - what could go wrong ?
-
Some of the standers might not know their alphabet.

" Modern Day away games " 😳😳😳
Wouldn’t say it’s cheaper. Train prices and petrol prices these days
It's a strange phrase that I've never heard before either. What does that mean? Travelling away these days is quicker, cheaper, more comfortable, safer, and to be honest much more boring than it ever used to be!
-
These sold out yet?
-
The ticket office said today there is no singing section at Rotherham
-
How many are there left does anyone know? Still got 7 to buy

plenty left

Was expecting a bit of a queue at 9.30am today but I was the only one there!

"modern day away games". lol
Im guessing Kieron, whoever he is, is a relative youngster.
I wonder what he would have made of an away day in the late 70's/ early eighties.

1985 at Millmoor. We won 3-2. One of my favourite away days. Walking down the alley from the away end with the locals lobbing stuff at us was fun. So was the walk back to the station.
I consoled myself in that (a) we'd won and (b) I wasn't from Rotherham.

Aye pre fire Valley Parade where you had to walk through the home supporters to get to the away end

probably spending 90 minutes sitting because someone's given him a right-hander and sat him on his arse ;)

Millmoor - ambush alley, I once went in the Millmoor Inn at the top of it, granted it wasn't a match, but I had pint in there

I’ve also heard their fans are pretty quiet at home

Standing or sitting ! The biggest problem is you don’t always know what you’re getting, and if these are your seats.
