Rovers player at Weston

I should imagine that we're in the lap of the gods regarding wether we'll get player commentary with weston not having any ISDN lines.

I wonder if Radio Sheffield will be supplying a feed?

I believe the service uses ISDN (from about 1984) which may not be available at Weston; I am not sure if it would also be possible to use technology from this new-fangled modern age.

If someone brings a PC with the capability of connecting to the Player Host Servers, I am sure I can bring along a wireless network to give an internet connection!

It might be worth liasing with Shaun Lockwood on that one, you might become very popular if you could pull it off

I understand commentary is on RS. Unsure whether it's DAB FM etc. it's on their schedule.

They did say that they would be broadcasting by using a mobile phone last time we were down there, so I suspect nothing will have changed

It is listed as that yes.  However one away game last season was listed as being the commentary game yet changed a few hours before kick off.

At least I can get that channel over t'internet at a distance from Doncaster.

Radio 5Live Sports extra it is then?  At least they are allowed to broadcast nationally online.

There was a stream online for the first game, probably unlikely to be one for this one.

I used to get DAB crystal clear when I lived out that way, I can even get it in Leeds...

If Radio Sheffield are covering it then you will be bale to find it online won't you?

I've a feeling that rules which prevent local radio stations from broadcasting online during league games don't apply in the Cup, as I managed to listen to Rovers replay at Aston Villa few years ago despite not being in Radio Sheffield's reach.

Although I could have got this very wrong.

You're correct, cup games are not covered by the rules that apply to league games, but Radio Sheffield broadcast online what they put out on the FM  frequency, we are on the AM frequency tonight, I suspect 5Live extra will be putting the AM commentary online

Or the AM commentary is a relay of the R5Live Extra?
