Doncaster Rovers are favourites for Bolton Wanderers striker Danny Ward.

Trotters boss Owen Coyle has confirmed he has 11 Championship clubs keen to snap up the youngster.

The People says Doncaster will win the race for Ward when the loan market opens today.

Excelled on loan at Swindon last year.

Hope it's true.

I'd heard he was going to Coventry and it was a done deal. Maybe something has changed- or maybe one or other report was a red herring!

Over on a Championship football forum many have been raving about him, certainly would be a good signing and would suit us.

Mike Jeffrey, sadly he blotted his copybook by signing for Rotherham from Newcastle!

I'll be surprised and delighted if we sign Ward, he is very highly rated and in the last few days Coventry, Derby, QPR and Leeds have all been stronly linked to him. If The People's sources are correct it'd be a good coup for us.

My Swindon mates never stop talking about him. They miss him (and Greer) like hell. Obviously! They clearly rate him mega highly.

Cheers

I see that Ryan Mason has had to go back to Spurs due to a back problem. If this means his loan can't be extended (and I think Rovers were keen to keep him a bit longer) then it increases the likelihood of another striker coming in.

The JET situation seems to have gone very quiet. I wonder if Arsenal want to keep him while they're still in the Carling Cup, as he is likely to get a game in that. They play Spurs on 21st Sept (in what is likely to be a glorified Football Combination game!) but if they go out, JET and a few other youngsters could be free for loaning out.

I've got an Arsenal supporting mate, and the word there is that Wenger is looking to get JET some Prem experience on loan.  Just what my pal has heard on the grapevine, but it wouldnt surprise me.
