I'd like to buy 4 tickets for the Leeds game
« on September 14, 2010, 03:13:55 pm by I-was-there1976 »
said my mate just 30 minutes ago in the ticket office

\"sorry we are not allowed to sell tickets to people who arent on the system or who havent bought from us before\" said the friendly ticket office woman

\"its the police that have told us this\"

So there you have it

4 tickets( 2 adults,1 junior and 1 senior) Newcastle fans living in Worksop. Working in Donny and would like to take the game in on Friday night. Now gonna watch it at home on SKY.

I giggled

Ticket office can't win can they?

If it was a free for all, then you'd get everyone moaning about how the ground would be full of Leeds fans...

Why can't you buy them for them?

indeed, can't blame the ticket office this time. tis a shame it has to come to this kind of thing though, and there will be a load of leeds fans in the home end anyway.

I think the ticket office did the right thing. They received a lot of grief the last time we played Leeds at the KM because of all the Leeds fans in the home end. The ticket office can't seem to win either way

Tell your mate to come tonight instead

Don't trek down to the office tomorrow, just ring them up and pick up the tickets from the West Stand reception prior to the match.

You are making it over complicated!

I reckon on Friday evening, they'll sell tickets to all and sundry who turn up at the ticket office, just to save on messing about.

I agree it's a bit of an overkill, but it doesn't surprise me with SYP putting these restrictions in place.

End of the day, if you want a ticket and you're not on the database, get someone who is to buy you the tickets, or turn up on the night, i'm fairly confident there will be no problems then.

That would eliminate the need to whinge and moan tho, Imagine been down the local boozer and yarning about how easy it is to get tickets, nah do it the hard way and spin a beauty.

You pick the tickets up from main reception - USUALLY - and all you need is your name and postcode - USUALLY

strange innit ?

you cant easily buy tickets cos Leeds are in town but you can sit next to Leeds fans when watching England or Yorkshire at cricket and there s no bother.

Ah well strange folk some people

Its a shame we couldnt give Leeds more tickets, it may be something we need to look at if we dont fill our end.

It's just tough luck really isn't it?  Kind of have to agree with the police on this one, had the Leeds fans in our end last time not acted like prats there wouldn't be a problem.

Simple solution is to make it clear that any away supporter identified in the home end will be ejected and make sure that they are.
If they are in our end and stay undetected what harm are they doing?

Not specifically, but Sky and BBC pay TV revenue to the league each year with the Championship as a league earning the most in comparison to league 1 & 2 respectively (and combined) and the leagues share it out between the clubs

So in other words, think you'll find we do get paid
