Given we went down to 10 in last night's game so not to risk a player who'd got a knock, I hope they get punished for it.  I suspect they won't being a 'Premier league' team though.  Apparently Holloway gave the subs the shirts of the first half players hoping the ref wouldn't notice.

Well, it could be a good way of making the authorities see sense. Its what everyone wanted. They are hardly going to kick them out of the tournament so Holloway has probably done everyone a favour.

We can kind of laugh about it as its only a frioendly but it just shows how much of a gent our manager is.

He was clearly not happy with the rules but he would never do anything like this.

Glad he is ours, for now.

Blackpool 2-1 Accrington Stanley
It's two wins out of two for the Seasiders now this pre-season as tonight they beat Accrington Stanley 2-1 in their opening game of the Joma South West Cup.

Paul Rachubka was given the nod in goal and was shielded by a back four of Rob Edwards, Ian Evatt, Alex Baptiste and Danny Coid. Trialist Malaury Martin was handed a start in midfield alongside Charlie Adam and Keith Southern, whilst Jason Euell, Brett Ormerod and 'trialist' Franny Jeffers started up top.

Because of the FA sticking their oar in and insisting that each side could only make three subs, it was difficult for Ollie to include more trialists or give everyone a run out. However, he did the best he could by getting players to switch shirts at half time, something that Sky picked up on but the officials missed!

Brett Ormerod opened the scoring for the Seasiders before Stanley equalised through a Jimmy Ryan freekick.

However, Keith Southern was on hand to head home Neal Eardley's cross in the second half to win the game for the Seasiders after some good work by Ishmel, with the winger impressing once again.

Ollie a bit behind on this one.

Anyone recall this great bit of car crash TV? - \"....but Danny, you've changed the shirts around!\"

The organisers will have to be seen to do something - otherwise the whole 'competition' will be seen as a mockery. Will they pander to the new Premiership boys? or will they take a sterner line?

Surely, they have to award the win to Accrington?

And give Ollie a \"dressing room at half time\" ban

I thought we did the same thing with the shirt swapping...

Is this Shirtgate?
