He has been a controversial referee over the past few years but I thought that he was in complete control today.   He let a lot of physical contact go unpunished but was consistent for both sides and that allowed for a free flowing game.  The penalty decision was 100% correct as were the yellow cards, so overall it’s a 4 from me.

I was somewhat surprised by his performance I wasnt a decent performance

He was bad but he wasn't on the wrong side if the pitch. Ref good. Probably best we've had recently.

2 for me . Not helped by West Stand Lino Drysdale got first thrown in wrong within 25 seconds , a pattern he / they kept getting wrong right to the end

He isn't Ed the Duck though

I thought he was pretty pants, got quite a few throw in decisions wrong that he had a better view of than the Lino on West (who was abysmal by the way)
How could he book Jones for running past a ball when he watched their keeper do it the entire first half (agree it was a booking but there needs to be consistency)
Ironside had his shirt just about ripped off him and got nothing. Especially so when he was shoved over in the SW corner.
Expected more from Drysdale to be honest

That shove on Joe was right in front of us. Fair enough Joe was waiting for it but a definite shove in the back directly in front of the Lino.
I did think that Drysdale did improve on some previous performances though. I gave him 2 but 2 and a half might have been about right.

That was probably the best game I've seen him have.  He was still pretty poor but on balance I think the things he got wrong were more in our favour than theirs.
I gave him a 2 which is more of a reflection of the current standard of refereeing than Drysdale's performance yesterday

In reality he will have scored more in one game than his last 10 games when he has Reffed us
