that looks awesome, although i think im mising something, if theyre only pulling in 6.5-8k a week, why are they building a 22.5k stadium?

Brighton had an average of 24750 back in 1980, so when they get back into a decent ground they should do well.

Have a look at Brighton's new ground - we could be going there next season when it opens:

Well on the stadium tours they say some of the stands (North and South I think) can be expanded by putting in \"steeper seating\" whatevever that may mean

To rip out all the concrete plinths, dismantle and replace all the supporting steel work, for the sake of adding 3 or 4 rows wouldn't seem to be very cost effective.

It has pleased me no end to see that photo. Now can someone explain how that can be extended ( in any way ) without total dismantle , without more piles, without more concrete.

One thing that would have to be done should we reach the premiership is undersoil heating, as i understand that it is a requirement of the premier league. I can`t understand why the pipework was not installed during construction, to be commissioned at a later date should the need arise

well if we got to the prem and they'd need to dig up stuff to fit the undersoil heating...might as well just expand while we're at it

if anything i'd expect it to be similar to how they do it in the championship with all seater stadia...that you have a time limit, a number of seasons or something, to get it done.

Great reflection of the time and the battles with the club about pricing.

One of those rare occasions when everything aligned in our favour and the tickets sold at a constant rate.

This was simple. We were winning, we were exciting, it was a tenner. If all them things happened again it would happen in the championship
