Pleased for Halliday. Expecting an even better season for him. He improved in all aspects of his game and hopefully will have a, stand out season!

Never mind who they are, it must have been all out attack, defenders getting nose bleed up the other end.

Sounds like there may be highlights released later so we can play guess who then.

Based on the line-ups solely it looks like we had a central midfield trialist and then one each across the three behind the striker, plus wherever the substitute trialist(s) played.

A good goal from Brett Halladay but neither goalie covered themselves in glory.

Good strikes for our goals, but terrible defending from us for there goals, but it is the first game and it is going to take time, and it will get a lot better

It's pre season and its more about getting minutes into the players with match time than results, but nice to see a win and goals from the back four and central midfield.

Scunthorpe 2 Rovers 3. Goals from Halliday, Whiteman and Anderson all in the second half, with the more experienced players.
There were 4 trialists. Mention of Ravenhill (?) in the official report but not Madger Gomes or Matty Blair.

A decent start to the friendlies. Blair was offered a new contract, but as yet, has not signed elsewhere to my knowledge. If a player named Ravenhill played, any  chance he is related to Ricky Ravenhill who played for us 2002-2006 (not a common name)?

Liam Ravenhill is the son of Ricky Ravenhill. Been in our youth set up for a few years now.

Thought there were 5 trialists, didn’t another one come on during the 2nd half?

Ricky Ravenhill came on for James Coppinger when Copps made his Donny debut and today he started a game with Ravenhill's son.

Weird seeing Ravenhill playing in our midfield. Took me a double take before I realised what was going on, I was having flashbacks to that 30 yard screamer Ravenhill sr. scored against Southend at BV. Rickaaaaayyyyy!
