£15 tickets for Notttingham Forest game
« on September 06, 2013, 04:03:26 pm by MrFrost »
Season ticket holders can bring a friend for £15.

Sounds like a challenge to me. Everyone get someone brought!

Are the VSC going to look at doing any flyer campaigns this season?

This looks like a good game to try and promote, with the offer being on.

We're already on that but as ever funds are tight and as much as we'd love to be doing this often we do need to find the cash for it.

Meant to add I do like this initiative and the vsc guys are knocking up some fliers so no doubt it's the job of us fans to push this on by brining friends and some leafleting.

Didn't we have the Donny Bob challenge for the Swansea game a few year back? Could this be the Mr Frost challenge.......................

B*ll*x! Just got my invite in the post! My sister has decided to marry her bloke who she has lived with for 26 years, and has 21 and 18 year old boys with on 21st September!! And she wants my 6 year old daughter to be flower girl! Absolutely F*ck*ng gutted! Always meet forest friends and have a few beers with them and one of them offered me a lift! F*ck*ng hell! Unbelievable!
Tempted to get sent to Coventry and go to match anyway, but might end up in Northampton!

F*ck*ng hell!

Given that this initiative has been proposed by the club, I would say no, probably not.

They are also doing a fan appreciation day at that game. Special prizes like a hospitality box, signed shirt and other prizes donated by sponsors.  Just like the idea I gave about what the Milwaukee Brewers do to reward their fans each year.

:woohoo: Some people could leave with very nice prizes.  I also like the Trotta idea, seems like speccies will be asjked to hit the bar from a penalty at half time. :woohoo: :woohoo:

Won't the club make a contribution to the print cost?
It is promoting their offer after all!

Why would we need a flyer campaign when it's a season ticket holder only incentive?

That is a good point. I had misunderstood and thought anyone could buy a £15 ticket. As it is they should just send an email to season ticket holders.

A Good idea, but why not uncomplicate it and make it fifteen pound across the board?,not everybody knows a season ticket holder, you would get more in that way.

Just an idea - would the VSC be able to match people up who are members on here with a season ticket holder? might help.

It's a self help group on here anyway. We've done it before with the club scout offers where anyone can use this forum to find a willing partner.

eh? I don't understand that logic. I think it would make a nice change for the club to actively promote a game around town and contribute some cash to the vsc to allow them to do the donkey work to get the flyers into fruition and have volunteers send them around town.

It worked a dream when we did it a couple of years ago

There is nothing wrong with a campaign to promoting a match in this way, I think it does have an effect but I think it works best if there is a discount to promote, that's all.

That's made me think. Has it got to be a person in the same age category as your ST?

Just a thought though, if we have 4500 season ticket holders, the most we can get with this offer is another 4500, if every single season ticket holder brings another supporter - which won't happen.
Considering this - I can't see it having that much of an impact on the attendance.

Mr Frost

I would expect Forest to bring at least a couple of thousand, it's not that far and they are doing well.  Another negative post, what the hell is wrong with Rovers supporters?

I'm talking about the number of home fans through the gate.
Not a negative at all, but I can't see it increasing the number of home fans, and if it does maybe only very slightly. Maybe the offer shouldn't be restricted to ONE ticket.

So Mr Frost, say we have 4,500 ST holders and 3,000 bring someone else and the noermal 3000 wh do not have ST's come that is 10,500, add 2,500 from Forest and you are up to 13,000 almost a full ground, how is that not affecting the attendance?

I reckon a high percentage of those who normally pay full price will be using a season ticket holder voucher.

I'd expect them to sellout. Look how many they took to Wigan.
