It looks very similar to the KM.

The current ground is now surrounded by out of town retail and leisure facilities, I expect they will sell up to developers to help pay for the new stadium.

The garden centre was sold to developers and closed in November so the football ground will go as they plan to build a Debenhams, marks and spencer's and house of Fraser all around that part.

Why do Scunny need a new, new ground? I'm no fan of Blandford Park but 12,000?

And we can't fill our 15,000 seater stadium.
When investing in a new stadium it seems obvious to allow room for future growth.

Hopefully they take the pitch into consideration BEFORE building the stadium and being left to fit a small pitch into a small area.

Mind you it made it easier to abuse Beagrie.

It'll come in handy on the occasions we visit so they can give us more tickets to prevent the usual mad scramble....

These stadia don't last long, do they?  Wasn't Glanford Park the first of the new breed of Stadium.  It can't be 30 years old.

I think if I remember correctly it opened in 1988 which would put it at 26(ish) so that would make you  correct Dr.

To be fair to Scunny they were the pioneers and built Glandford Park to a budget, with little external funding and little guidance as to how to go about it.  The mistakes they made meant that future grounds like Hudderfields and ours were much better.  Don't think may people will miss Glandford Park though.
