I know this should be off topic but I'm really not bothered.

Well done Ben on your honour. Lets get him to the rovers and show him our support.

Inspiration.

He sits just behind me in the West Stand- I'm on the back row in front of the disabled area. Though I haven't seen him there the last couple of home games.

Delighted for him and for his family.

Well deserved and a true hero.
I'm sure I read somewhere that he wanted to lead the Rovers players out onto the pitch at a game.

And what better game than on New Years Day.
He would get a superb reception from both sets of fans.

I think that is if Rovers win promotion. I seem to think it was a conversation he had with Dean Saunders.

Well done to Ben on been awarded the MBE!

Brilliant idea, I just hope someone does make it happen........very proud of our lad. It should inspire both sets of supporters and teams and make for a brilliant day out.

It's short notice, but I'll ask.

You know what piss`s me off, all the newspapers the news programmes on the TV are all mentioning the sport stars and celebrities that have received an honour, but not one mention of the most severely injured serviceman to return from Afghanistan, serving his Queen and Country, note even a f**king footnote!

Well Done Ben!

If someone can become a Knight for riding a Bike, then you Ben should be above all those!

I know, frankly it's pathetic. who gives a damn about Tracy Emin her 'art' is a load of old kack, yet someone like Ben who is a true inspiration.. Nothing.

It says more about the main stream media than anything else I think because i bet it will be banner headline on the front page of the Free press and rightly so.

Telegraph website has the story about him getting the MBE. Not everybody is out to ignore little old Donny and everyone from it.

Brilliant news this is anyway, Ben really deserves it and I'd love to see him leading the teams out at a game.

Ben has said on Facebook he will be at the game on new years day. It would be fantastic if the club could recognise his honour.
