We seem to have stopped tackling and when we get the ball we opt for the speculative pass (or is just an aimless boot?) rather than keeping it simple. It is desperate stuff with little visible confidence amongst the players, many of whom don’t look fit enough. Olowu has in fact made some timely clearances whether by judgment or just luck, but he has got himself in the right spots. Lawlor’s reactions aren’t much better than Jones’s - and the choosing 2 such indifferent goalkeepers was definitely McCann’s decision.
