Utter garbage. One nil down with 2 minutes to go and we’re passing sideways and backwards to the goalie. It’s pathetic.

I laughed when we scored we were that bad. Completely opposite went mental v Wimbledon.

Kind of serves Sunderland right a bit as they never remotely tried for a second goal.

2 teams playing believe it or not.

Sunderland were very good without the ball.

Yes we were a bit rusty after lay off.

Some of the comments on here from so called supporters are embarrassing.

Point is a point.  I'll just pretend the game didn't happen, it was that bad.

Sunderland stopped us playing stayed in shape stronger our passing wasn’t good sometimes but we scored got a draw. Okenabirhie couldn’t miss but could have scored before that. We were poor but was that because Sunderland set up to stop us playing they were no better going forward than us. Draw for me right result it was not shit it was just not entertaining from both sides.

To say they were "very good without the ball" is generous. Rovers were awful in possession and offered nothing going forward, so it wasn't exactly hard for them to look good off the ball. Yes they were well drilled, but there was absolutely no threat for most of the game.

I hope Moore doesn’t brush it off so easily. We got away with it today but some serious issues to address. Sunderland played well and did a job on us but there was a lack of urgency all the way through, some awful passing and a lack of ideas. You can’t just write that performance off, it needs addressing.

I was obviously glad when we scored but what a travesty it made of the result. I just hope that the one and only positive to take from the game doesn't paper over the cracks.

10 outfield traffic cones, the movement was non existent every ball to Fej bounced off him, someone needed to get nearer to him, we got lucky, deserved nothing and the last minute goal should not take away the fact that they all need a good kick up the arse!

How we have got a point out of that is beyond me, a more lethargic performance you will struggle to see. Awful performance start to finish.

If you thought a draw was the right result you are deluded.

Did anyone actually complete a pass? Think there was one in the second half.

Probably agree with this. They didn't really threaten. Certainly they looked more composed and organised, but the piledriver aside I think they had one other shot on goal?

Halliday man of the match by some distance.

EasyforDennis  don’t suppose you agree.  ;)

Whiteman’s passing was way off today and Sims lacked his usual zip.
Lokilo hangs on to the ball too long. Needs to get the ball in much quicker.
How many fouls were there on him though.

Yes we were definitely rusty and Sunderland had a game plan to stop us playing.
We got lucky with that penalty shout 1st half. Makes up for last season at Stadium of Light.
We kept at it and got a bit of luck. How many times have we outplayed the opposition and lost or drawn.
We were due a bit of fortune were we not.
That goal & point will lift the lads & expect to see a much more vibrant performance on Tuesday against Blackpool.

We completed loads of passes. Unfortunately they were all back to the keeper.

Anyone who thinks Sunderland were the reason we couldn't complete 6 yard passed and stand on heels for most of the game is deluded

That's the first time in a long, long time that we've been comfortably second best all game and got a point.

It happens. It happens the other way round to us often enough.

New keeper did well. Anderson and Wright ok. Not sure what the deal is playing James in centre midfield. Whiteman missed more passes today than he will for the rest of the season. We had one advantage over Sunderland and it was pace. We didn't have the ability to take advantage of that.

We are two points better off this season after 11 games, than we were at same point last season. Having scored more and conceded less this season. We have also been through a lot of the bigger clubs in those 11 games this season.

2020/21 - P11, W5, D3, L3, POINTS 18 - F19, A12 +7
2019/20 - P11, W4, D4, L3, POINTS 16 - F13, A13 +0

The less said about that the better.

Equaliser really papered over the cracks there. We had no urgency, no tempo, didn't really create a proper chance all game, and failed to change anything when we were playing into Sunderland's hands.

Credit to Halliday for actually showing some urgency and willingness to make something happen, because he was just about the only one.

I haven't seen every game this season, but other than Bristol Rovers I'm struggling to think of one I've seen where we've actually been any good (albeit I did miss Ipswich)

Finding us really frustrating to watch atm and hope we can improve, as I think we've got a good enough squad to do well this year.

Are you feeling ok.   :)  Pleased you agree. The back 4 & Keeper all did well. Still much prefer Reece James at LB to Cameron John though.

Can't agree about Jo Wright he had a poor game. Sorry Cameron John is not a left back. The rest don't warrant a mention.

I thought Joe Wright had a good game but yes, Halliday MOM for me.

Sunderland thought they had the game in their pocket on 70 minutes (as did I!), so they 'eased off' & lo & behold, we did what so many teams have done to us in the past couple of seasons, nicked a point. How sweet is that?

It makes Tuesday's game against Blackpool so much more 'interesting'.

Halliday was definitely man of the match today,

We need James Or Amos at left back
Smith and whiteman in the middle of the park

But our main issue is our striker, he isn’t good enough, about half a dozen times today smith or whiteman rolled it into his feet and he just let the centre half get there first.
Good balls get played into the box and he’s 3 or 4 yards away.

Lots of our problems are caused by him not holding onto the ball
