Richard O’Kelly

Was just reading an article on the BBC about that lovely chap John Terry and he mentioned that he was looking forward to learning from Villa’s assitant manager, Richard O’Kelly. I hadn’t realised he had followed Smith to Brentford let alone Villa, potentially he could emulate SOD and be on a Premier League bench in the next couple of years.

He is a very good and well respected coach. I think SOD owes a lot of his success to O’Kelly.

Makes you wonder how much was down to ROK when you look at SOD’s career without him.
I will be eternally grateful to them both for the success they brought us.
Wish ROK the best of luck at Villa hope he has more success

ROK was a lot of fun - remember saying to him when he grew a beard for charity the club were supporting at the time - that it looked like his head was upside down - he thought it was funny

Played golf with him at one of rovers' golf days - played off about 7 and went round Bawtry Golf course to par that day - a lovely funny bloke, great coach and damn fine golfer too! Good luck to him in whatever he does inside (and outside) the game!
