What's the club's ambition next season?
« on May 21, 2024, 06:01:32 pm by Copps is Magic »
Will it be stated? The mixed messages over the last few seasons have been ... well... ambiguous. There was a groundswell of support there at the end of last season that created a symbiosis with the players that earned us a few extra points and seemingly can be capitalised on going to next season.

I thought McCann made it quite clear what the goal is for next season?

So McCann has said champions? I missed that, I must admit.

I'm talking more about the interface between the chief exec and the owner anyway, and building up the supporter base beyond the inevitable 6k that will turn up for the first game.

GM also talked about key improvements to the training facilities as well as the promotion ambitions, stating Terry and Gavin were fully onboard

To be honest, I don't need Terry or Gavin to say anything as Grant is doing all the talking and he's obviously being backed to get us out of this division.

I don’t think things have ever been clearer ..GM said Champions.TB is clearly ambitious to gain promotion and at the Fans Forum
said ‘Money is not a problem ‘!
I see clear ambition at Belles and Dons too .

"Either come back with the mentality of winning the league, or don't come back at all".

I think that was a clear enough message from GM.

As regards signings, I think the intent was clearly shown by the signing of Joe Sbarra. He's a superb player who's been wanted by other clubs, and I would imagine will be one of our top earners.

Exactly

McCann is the most ambitious manager we’ve had since McCann. And he wears his heart on his sleeve.

If he wasn’t been backed I think we’d be able to tell.

Pretty unequivocal ambition from GM from what I’ve read and seen. Win the league. With improvements in training facilities and some staff additions off the field. It promises to be an exciting season ahead. Let’s all get behind the team and the club to help achieve that ambition.

The manager should do all the talking, leave the board to do their job of getting the funds for McCann to use. Actions speak louder than words -Sbarra signing number one.
