Direct choice between

Rowe & Biggins for the third spot in the advanced midfield role - I think potentially Rowe will get the nod for the first leg because there normally tight & cagey affairs. However this is McCann we’re talking about he’ll more likely want to go with Biggins who is the bigger goal threat. It depends how he sees it.

If Biggins is fit he will and should play. He has been awesome for the 2nd half of the season.

Rowe for last 30 mins for me. Can do a job as a sub better than starting. Think it’s difficult to get more than a good 60 mins out of Tommy now.
Could start and be subbed after 60 mins of course.
As said depends on how GM sees it. I trust him to get it right.

Can’t see how Rowe should be starting. Easy decision for me Biggins all day. Runs his blood to water. Rowe is better at coming on last 20 imo.

Have the pick the team based on the opposition. Rowe, Biggins and ZW are all very different players and would contribute different things. Would you make the same choice if you knew you would have 65% possession than you would do if you were to have 35%? Horses for courses.

It’s got to be George Broadbent. Grant’s been keeping him fresh ready to be unleashed in the playoffs.

Crewe are a possession team or at least were not long ago.  I thought they were quite direct at the Eco in March.
Think their style has changed a little since Artell, Davis and Dario Gradi were their managers.

What if you expect to have 47% possession?
Or 53%?

These are tough decisions, I’m glad I’m not the manager.

In April they lost 3-0 at home to both Forest Green and Grimsby Town, two very poor sides. Crewe had 71% possession in the former and 57% in the latter.

Biggins 100% with Rowe for last 20. Westbrooke if we need creativity late on - broadbent on if we want to close the door

Biggins for me , he can make the runs from midfield with pace something Rowe has not got in his game at this stage in his career

Biggins for me, I always worry about Rowe getting an early card, although to be fair to him he seems to get away with a lot of borderline yellows. The statisticians will probably prove my argument wrong. I just feel more positive about Biggins starting with Rowe coming off the bench but then Westbrooke is a better technician than both…… I’ll go wi whatever super Grant thinks!
