Eclipsing me as only on 118 for July

I must have been looking through my cataract eye and read 185 miles instead of 165, so I won't reach 200 miles this month but it will be my best month since I started exercising last December.
I retired in March last year and got into a rut of too much booze, followed by crap food, followed by sitting on the settee all day watching tripe on tv.
I was fat and getting fatter, waist up to 38 inches and then got diagnosed as type 2 diabetic.
Something had to change, so I started walking. At first I was shattered if I did 4 miles.
Now, if I do less than 6 miles a day, I feel like I'm cheating myself.
Must have lost a couple of stones, waist now 34.
Had a diabetes check a month ago and my score was down to 51 from 63 in December. (49 and under is non diabetic) so I've almost got there.

Popular misconception TT. The Rolls Royce company in Derby make Jet engines, not cars. That's a different company which I believe was sold off decades ago.
That said. RR dominates the Derby area. Multiple sites and getting bigger every year. They've just built a nuclear research facility half a mile from my house, which is reassuring lol.
My house was built in the 30's specifically for RR management as it's walking distance to the site of the original factory.
No pit tops but I am half a mile from open countryside, in fact, when you walk across the road from the nuclear research building, you're in the country.
Buzzards galore, a canal, the River Trent all within easy reach which make it a pleasant, ever changing place to walk.
