I wonder if the outage is only affecting specific players?
You'd think the NYT would make an announcement about what's going on.

Do anyone who's having difficulty getting on happen to be using an iPhone or iPad? If so, have you upgraded to the latest OS in the last week or so?

If you have then that may be the culprit as I'm having the same problem on all my Apple devices immediately following the latest OS update!
