I'm not sure about today's death figure. Sundays and Monday's death toll were quite low. I wonder if the figures have been delayed a bit more this week?I would expect tomorrow’s figure to be lower, perhaps back below 1,000.Hospitalisations are still increasing and that remains the greatest concern.
BeltonThanks for you question. I have absolutely zero interest in discussing it with you. Have fun.BB. Thank you. Measured as ever.
BB.That very much depends on your definition of "political". The post didn't say anything about "political point scoring". In the post it was referring to, Selby didn't seem to me to be "political point scoring" Selby has spent years regaling us with problems in Germany. I assume he has deep issues with Germany. I don't see that as "political point scoring". I see it as unpleasant.Now. These examples of yours that you must have? Only, I've had a busy day and I'd like to spend a bit of time with my kids this evening, so if you could just get to the point quickly, instead of wandering off?
BBWhy on earth should I have condemned that post? I've just said clearly, with reasons, why I didn't think political point scoring was either the point of Selby's post or the theme of the post you refer to. Now. Have you got any examples of what I was actually asking you about. And, "disciples". Jesus f**king wept...
What, another stipulation! The point isn't about whether your constant searches for stories to beat the government with are true or not, the point is your constant searches for stories to attack the government with are examples of political point-scoring. And, as if that isn't enough, your frequent back-up policy of reheating old 'mistakes' by the government when you haven't got a new one to make a political point about. There will be plenty of time to prove the claims of government inadequacy in its handling of the pandemic when we are out of this hole. I've no doubt that will be decided by people who are politically point-scoring also.
Ok BB. Let me just catch up with you because you run so fast. You're not saying that you have any evidence that I've made criticisms of the Govt that are unfair? You're saying that I shouldn't do it?Is that where we are at? I think that's where we are at.You are saying we shouldn't be critical of a Govtv presiding over the worst death toll and worst economic hit in Europe because...why exactly?Don't you get the idea of public opinion changing Govt policy? Do you think we should all just shut up, put on a Johnson brave face and accept 100,000 and rising deaths and a half trillion quid hit as one of those things? You do choose some odd hills on which to sacrifice your credibility, when you've decided that you know what people's motives are.
