I find this:

https://www.live-footballontv.com/

a handy site for finding out what live matches are on, when they're on and what station they're on.

Yes, but you'd be better off buying a month pass, especially if you shop around for a deal - I pay about £17 per month for NowTV sports pass and I can still cancel any time. A day pass is over a tenner, I think. My offer finishes in October, at which point it more than doubles, and will then be getting cancelled, at which point they'll likely offer me another promotion of just under £20 per month.

That said, some of the current offers on Now TV seem to tie you into 6 months minimum.

I can only see a 6 month option with Nowtv at £26.

Myself and bro in law will be watching the away leg from Stow on the Wold Social Club.
I bet we will be the only Rovers fans in there.

It’s definitely on.  I checked this morning on my sky tv box - I don’t subscribe to sports but I can see the schedule.

Hey Hound! That's not too far from where I live. I've been wondering where to go to watch. I refuse to have Sky in my house. Are there any criteria I must meet to be allowed in? It'd be great to buy you a beer at long last. And watch the mighty Rovers too of course!

You only might get offered a better deal when you cancel an existing subscription (citing the cost as being the reason for cancelling). Then they might offer you a much better deal to retain you. But there's no guarantee what offer they'd give, or even that they will give you an offer. I get the impression that retention offers are made by bots so anticipating what algorhythms they're working to isn't an exact science.

Great stuff Bob.
When I phoned them the lady I spoke to asked what time it would finish.
I said, probably about 7.15 to 7.30 ish.
She said that was ok because the Bingo starts at 8pm and the telly goes off !
The only criteria I know of, and I made the rules for this event, are as follows:
We have to be loud and proud.
Rovers shirt expected.
You have to buy me and bro in law a pint.
You have to let us buy you one back.
The Social club have a rule in that non members have to pay a £2 entry fee.
I look forward to meeting up with you, we will be there from about 5 to 5.15pm.

Deal Hound!  I better dig out a shirt then! You don't  happen to have a postcode for the place do you? I could Google it, but I'm continually captivated by the snooker! Alex and I have been to a few sessions in Cheltenham. It's addictive.

I migrated south from the people’s republic of South Yorkshire to study teaching in cheltenham. I had a culture shock! Couldn’t believe Yorkshire and Gloucestershire are on the same planet let alone in the same country. I couldn’t believe how much different folk are like down there to us.

Too right Les. World's apart. It's old hat and irrelevant now but 95% of the folk down here in the early 80's had never seen a slag heap or a pit. The depth of southern ignorance of the north, and, tbh, northern ignorance of the south, was profound. I suppose the big question today is: has anything changed?

Mother in law is a native of Cheltenham, she’s naturalised Yorkshire now after being up here nigh on 65 years
