Watching today purely for the reason there's not many more chances to see Copps.
Jones
Wright Anderson Butler Horton
Lokilo Smith James Richards
Okenabirhie John Jules
Bottomley, COPPS, Greaves, Amos, Bostock, Sims, Bogle
-
Today’s team
COYR
-
That's the team most of us wanted to see after the other night.
-
I would think that is right RA.
I want to see more of Fey and JJ playing together and hope to see the new Lokilo out there again.
Hopefully we will see an open game as Rochdale effectively need two wins to stay up.
-
On the iFollow site, I think I just heard the Rochdale stadium announcer give a special mention to Copps and he wished him a happy retirement.
Nice touch by Rochdale that.
-
Just mentioned as well that they gifted him a bottle of champagne for winning the Sir Tom Finney award. Good lads!
-
Very good save by Jones then immediately we go up and create a half chance ourselves.
Nice open game.
-
Nice interplay by Rovers there, Fey shoots wide.
-
Lokilo looking threatening early doors.
-
Jesus. Somehow stayed out via Butts, post & quite possibly gravity!
-
Jesus. Somehow stayed out via Butts, post & quite possibly gravity!
That was very close.
-
Looked over the line to me but we don't have a great angle of it.
-
Looked over the line to me but we don't have a great angle of it.
Be screaming for it, if it was us.
Rochdale look the more threatening but we do look dangerous with the ball running at them.
-
Rochdale are lively. We need to score first for a change.
-
Lokilos the new Coppinger.
-
Lokilo , John-jules and Fej looking very sharp
-
Referee is a proper homer!
-
Get in player of the season scores again!!!
-
Get innnnnnnnnnnnnnnn
-
Woo!
-
1-0!
Lokilo ball in Richards finishes.
-
Only listening to it, but do Rochdale have any players that we could fancy?
-
Lokilos the new Coppinger.
And another assist. He's on fire.
-
Great run from Richards there. Good to see the desire to get on the end of it, something that has been missing too often in our team lately
-
Great ball in by Lokilo and a good finish.
-
Lincoln lead at Peterborough. Oh my.
-
What a hit by Joe Wright (tackle)
-
needed that hopefully settle us down and we can push on for the 2nd and 3rd
-
Not sure I would want any Rochdale players on the pitch. They have a player on the bench though…baaah
-
Another great passage of play by us results in a corner.
-
Lokilo has come to life recently. Hopefully he's not a victim of Kyle Bennett syndrome - only playing well when you think you might get binned off.
-
Great little goal there nice work Lokilo and cool play Richards. Cracking game this.
-
Not sure I would want any Rochdale players on the pitch. They have a player on the bench though…baaah
Baah was the one we all agreed was their best player in the home game
-
I would be looking to either secure John-jules for another loan, or look to buy him. This is all because of him, his work rate is right up there, it’s also helping Fej, who is just dropping away in space
-
I watched their Conor Grant at UCD before he went to Wednesday and they got Lund off us did they not?
-
John-Jules is brilliant. Let's get him back next season. Jason playing like a man possessed as well.
Good game so far! Goals in it.
-
new manager may have other ideas but would like us to try get Jules and Richards even with his dip in form
-
The problem with both teams is the defences, or lack of- this is attack vs attack.you get the feeling it could be a cricket score
-
I watched their Conor Grant at UCD before he went to Wednesday and they got Lund off us did they not?
I think you may be mixing up our ex defender Mitchell Lund and Rochdale striker Matthew Lund?
-
Right Dutch thank you. There’s another Conor Grant in the EFL too but the Rochdale one is the Dublin lad I’m sure.
-
Once again, a good save by Jones.
I think he has done enough to be our first choice next season.
-
Rathbone is a good player.
-
This Conor Grant is the Irish one from Wednesday. The former Rovers player Conor Grant, same spelling and playing position, is at Plymouth.
-
Jones needs to command his area better and come for crosses. For a young lad making his first few games, he’s done well
-
Half time.
Rochdale deserve to be at least level but some good defensive blocks and saves by Jones are keeping them at bay.
We look very dangerous on the break though and could possibly have added to our lead.
-
Not sure I would want any Rochdale players on the pitch. They have a player on the bench though…baaah
Baah was the one we all agreed was their best player in the home game
He was sold to Man City in the Jan window and loaned straight back to Rochdale for the season wasnt he?
-
I reckon it’s 7-4 on good chances to Rochdale.
It’s like pin ball but far more entertaining.
Midfield is so open for both teams to run 30 yds
-

Baah was the one we all agreed was their best player in the home game

No, his City move fell through at the last minute and he stayed put.
He is however now joining Watford and had a medical this week.
-
Peterbro two down against Lincoln.
It looks like that last game is a big one for them.
-
Anyone else getting a lot of buffering and picture freezing? on ifollow even though the sound is good.
-

Yes
No , Just seen the RA post.
-
No problems here deebee

Thanks RA didnt realise it fell through. You could see in the reverse fixture he had a very bright future in the higher echelons of football.

Jesus. Didnt know it fell through. I bet he's gutted even though Watford are a big enough club.
-
Oh dear Fergie I see your at it again.
Could be very interesting next Saturday.
-
Jones has been excellent. I like that he's held onto the shots rather than parrying. Our central midfield is non existent. James might as well be watching on ifollow.
-
That could be bad news for us though, the last thing we need now is an up for it posh running at our defence and midfield.
-
nearly didn't bother with i-playing this , but glad I did, lively game. Rochdale really going for it has helped.
-
Might be a nice idea to get some fireworks for the posh game incase we turn them over again :scarf:
-
That could be bad news for us though, the last thing we need now is an up for it posh running at our defence and midfield.
The more open the game the better it should be for us.
Plus we might beat them and spoil Ferguson’s promotion hopes.
Poor ball there by JJ with three on two.
-
P'boro 3 down now
-
3-0 Lincoln haha
-
Pompy winning means no playoffs this season
-
0:2
-
Think I'd bust a bollock from laughing if we sent them to the play offs.
-
Richards again.
-
get in Richards on a hat trick now
-
Rochdale looking likely to be relegated today then...
-
With Rochdale pressing on we are breaking away and looking like scoring.
-
Lokilo - TJJ - Richards
Thing of beauty
-
Derby one up at Swansea.
Derby just need a point to relegate Wednesday.
-
love for us to drop posh in the playoffs and for them to lose and not even get to Wembley
yes they will sell their best players for 10 million a piece because they just seem to hypnotise agents and other clubs in paying over the odds
-
:rtid: Well done TR. the guy is pure quality, and at a young age - shame he’s been criticised by our “fans” so much, especially when he is the only one with any sort of consistency.
-
We are getting a few 3 on 2s here and we made one count at last. Lokilo is doing great he’s playing with pace and confidence. Good lad.
-
:rtid: Well done TR. the guy is pure quality, and at a young age - shame he’s been criticised by our “fans” so much, especially when he is the only one with any sort of consistency.
He is a free agent in a few week guess this recent form means we won’t get him
-
Copps coming on soon.
-
Okenabirhie just does not have it, that was an easy chance for a striker.
-
3-0 Lincoln haha
1-3 now.
-
it looks set up for Copps to put on a show. I hope he comes on.
-
Copps, Sims and Boges on for Lokilo, Richards and JJ.
-
Oh dear, gutted for the lad- do t take him off
-
Barr on now , this kid it have next year from the few times iv seen him but think he’s at city now so possible loan
-
Derby one up at Swansea.
Derby just need a point to relegate Wednesday.
I hope they don't get that point, as I live in Derby and their fans make Michael Gibson look like a Motivational cheer leader! (Plus I've had a fiver on Swansea today)!!
-
Brilliant save by Jones.
-
Excellent save from Jones again.
-
Okenabirhie just does not have it, that was an easy chance for a striker.
Just not true, is it? He's got 14 goals this season and many of them were excellent first-time finishes.
-
The number 3 for Rochdale is really good with the ball at his feet. I’ve not seen much from him defending but going forward he looks good. He tall fast and technically good with the ball…
-
What a save. Jones MOM for me today.
-
So hard to judge players against our defence and midfield
-
Swansea 2-1 now.
-
come on copps, get yourself another goal!
-
Looking like Hull are champions, 3-1 up v Wigan.
-
What a save. Jones MOM for me today.
if he can work on his command of the area, when to come and when to stay, we will have a tremendous prospect on our hands. A potential true donny academy lad making a first team slot his own. Only down side is that a new manager might not fancy him. Let's hope that's not the case.
-
3-0 Lincoln haha
1-3 now.
Make that 2-3!
-
hell's teeth Copps that Cross was shocking
-
1:2
-
Jones deserved a clean sheet there, what a shame.
Typical us.
-
Horton has looked good today too, again we are playing against relatively poor opposition though. Jones has made good saves, and important ones. Lokilo, Fej TJ and JJ have linked up well and been quite exciting to watch.
-
Interesting last 10 coming up. Gutted for Louis. Deserved a clean sheet.
-
Our substitutions have just invited Rochdale on to us.
Dale need two more goals to have a realistic chance of staying up.
-
Yeah the triple change has killed us. All our energy and ability to make the ball stick up the field has gone. No coincidence that comes when Bogle and Sims come on for Richards and TJJ.
-
Rochdale earned one goal I suppose and they almost missed their chance.
-
1:2
That came about as a result of a throw in that should have gone to us.
-
Sims is sooooo out of form, you have to feel for the lad, it was all going so well for him.
-
Greaves on now for Smith.
-
1:2
That came about as a result of a throw in that should have gone to us.
The officials have been poor today.
-
I was about to put those substitutions look risky but thought better of it.
If I had it would have looked very perceptive.
Hope we don't regret it now.
-
Greaves on now for Smith.
I like Greaves, good luck to him.
-
Peterbro have a last minute pen.
-
3-0 Lincoln haha
1-3 now.
Make that 2-3!
Wow, now 3-3! Posh promoted
-
What a joke of a pen that was..... shocking
-
Peterbro have a last minute pen.
joke of a penno!!!!?
-
that was never a pen to posh he threw himself on the floor
-
Ft
-
Hard luck, Rochdale.
Well done the boys. Nuts & guts again. Shame it's about 6 weeks late.
-
Ironic for Lincoln if the pen came about from a dive.
-
Poxy Fergie time penalty.
-
Offshoot, thei No3 is their most dangerous player. Can we buy him to replace our fullbacks whi’re leaving?
-
Good game, promising from us! See how we do for the rest of the season :silly:
-
Well, I'm glad we won. But we made it very hard for ourselves after those substitutions, not sure what Butler was doing changing so much at once. Not like we need to save players for other important games coming up.
With Peterborough up, next weekend's game can solely be a focus on Coppinger now.
-
yeah mention their number 3 earlier, looks a good player - on loan from Luton though
-
A win is a win, baffling initial substitutions taking off the three most effective players
-
A positive result in the run in to the end of season, again too little to late.
On to Tuesday and onwards and upwards
COYR
-
Well done Posh for keeping it together ( that hurt)
-
The top 7 teams all scored 3 goals in here respective games........hate saying it but that’s how you finish the season if your team is consistent and strong enough ......
-
Crazy substitutions, but a win's a win :scarf:
-

Hopefully Copps can be starting line up now.
Apart from the send off it is sadly a nothing match.
-
Three teams chasing that last play off spot now.
-
Derby one up at Swansea.
Derby just need a point to relegate Wednesday.
Well Derby lost but i just looke and hadnt realised that the last day fixture is Derby v Wednesday.
Big game.
-
if Rotherham win or draw in midweek going to be lots of different ways it can finish
-
Subs completely upset our game today.
We looked disjointed after they came on but limited Rochdale’s opportunities to score.
We defended pretty well and Jones looked very solid.
Have to say Copps was poor when he came on. His passing and shooting not up to his usual standard. He probably should have scored 2 goals.
Overall we didn’t half miss some chances. 3 times we had a break with 3 on 2
It could easily have been 6-6
Anyway we got 100% commitment from everyone who crossed that white line today.
Just a pity we haven’t been doing it in most of the last 3 months.
When you look at the league table and all the points other teams have dropped we should have walked a play off place this season.
Looks like 74 points max will now will get 6th place. :headbang:
What a missed opportunity this season has been.
-
Okenabirhie just does not have it, that was an easy chance for a striker.
He has 11 goals in 29 league starts which is a decent record. With the right manager he would be close to 20 a season I reckon.
-
Interesting last 10 coming up. Gutted for Louis. Deserved a clean sheet.
Good to see him so pissed off everytime he concedes.
-

You also hav3 to take into consideration the role that Moore had put him in earlier in the season, up front on his own with little support.
With someone like JJ alongside him Fey could easily bag twenty goals next season.
-
The way we played today and the 4-4-2 system we could score a lot of goals with the players we currently have.
What we need is 2 top class central midfielders, proper MISTERS.
Players who can defend, pass the ball short and long and have the legs to get penalty box to penalty box.
Thinking about it Stock and Wellens ( 12 years ago ) would do very nicely.
Paul Green in his prime would be good.
No good dreaming about the past but we do need to find those central midfielders for next season and play Fej up front with a quick player like JJ
TJ playing in a wide role today suited him because he had the freedom to roam and express himself. It is no good asking him to defend in front of the central defenders because his abilities do not stretch to being able to do it without giving away free kicks in very dangerous areas and he then becomes a liability.
Play players so they can express their strengths not expose them to their weaknesses. Round pegs in round holes comes to mind.
I hope we can get a manager that does this and would love him to be able to get TJ and JJ back to the Keepmoat next season.
I also like Smith and a fully fit Sims but is Smith that strong midfielder we need.
I think we need at least 1 seasoned pro in there. Smith though does have huge potential and can only get better.
It is a real shame we could not keep Whiteman as i do think we had a very good team with him in it.
I hope the spirit shown in the last 2 games will now help to persuade those who have been offered contracts to sign them.
Even with the capitulation we have seen i do think we have the nucleus of a top 6 at least squad and need just a few quality additions to achieve our goal of championship football again.

Camps, you do still keep telling us about TJ ?
-
Taylor Jichards?
-

:chair:  It must be that I will be a senior citizen on 17th May 66yrs young and get my State pension. Senior moments getting all too frequent.
As long as we all know who i mean. ;)

LoL Camps.
No worries as far as I am concerned, I just find it funny that you have that mental block over the TJ thing.
As for getting older, don’t knock it mate, it is far better than the alternative.
-
Or should it be TJJ?
