Husband

Have to be honest I expected him to struggle this year but the way he's slotted straight back into the team after so long out has been brilliant.

may not be quite as good as Spurr but it wont be long before he is. How old is he, 19? 20?

Got a real player on our hands here I think.

I think he's as goos as Spurr for me. He can defend and attack like Tommy. But, Hubby has many more years to improve and better himself more than Spurr. He is an asset to this team on the pitch and a saleable one off it, that May one day help his club.

All that said, Robbo is still the better LB of the recent 4 (including George)....for now

I said the same thing before he got injured and still stand by it. We need to offer the lad a long-term contract very soon (he's contracted to the end of next season i believe). He's basically one of the few assets in the squad that we could sell in the future. He's showing glimpses of brilliance but he's obviously not a complete player just yet. He's 20 - Bale started to flourish around that age. The board should be showing some foresight on this one.

Yeah give him an new contract now, can see a club coming in for him in the summer. He was good yesterday although he did lose the ball now and again. His run for the pen was brilliant, trammed it down that left hand side.

Is he out of contract at the end of the season? If he is whoever has let it run down this far wants sacking.

He has a season and a half when we stay up this year then we must offer a new 3 or 4 year if we can get him to sign it

Ye he deserves a pay rise. If he finds the consistency Spurr had he will be decent.

Can we afford to give him 3 or 4 year contracts, 2 at the most. But we should now be looking at all those out of contract at the end of the season and trying to get some of them signed on again. Stop them walking away for nowt

He could be a 2/3 million pound player but could also go the other way came back from injury for his first full 90 mins against a strong wigan side and didnt look like he put a foot wrong and won us the pen our first in over a year

For me he's better than Spurr as he has a turn of pace that Spurr doesn't. Sure, Spurr was a consistent defender but Husband seems to relish attack as well as defending and, he can take a hit and give it aswell.

He's developed his physique to cope with the demands of the Championship. Something that Wakefield and Peterson need to emulate.

Husband is already performing as well as Spurr ever did for us. He was instrumental in our decent start to the season and its no coincidence that our form collapsed when he got injured.

The lad has the potential to go a long way. Quick, strong in the tackle and a real threat going forward. If he stays clear of injury, he'll make 500 appearances at this level or above. Which, in today's market probably makes him worth £1m at least. It is vital that we extend his contract beyond next summer.

He wasn't consistent at the start of the season or last season. That's an age thing though.

We've really missed his driving runs down the left. Stevens is not a patch on JH in that regard.

He's better attacking than defending that's for sure. That's what clubs seem to be more interested in in a full back these days.

Good defensively, great engine, but distribution can be really poor.

He's not a master technician is he, it's more his dynamism that makes his attacking play a threat.

That attribute took Paul Green to the Euro Championship finals. Husband IS more balls than brain in his approach, but if the balls are big enough, that can take him a long way.
