They said, I believe, that they were happy to run things but would look at any serious potential takeovers/investment with the due respect it deserved.

It seems to me that they agreed for a potential takeover/investment by JR/LT with the respect they said they would.

If it hasn't worked or isn't viable, then I assume they'll remain in control will they not?

All ifs, buts and maybes - but that seems pretty reasonable!

Hurray, I didn't even have to wait until Monday to realise it was all a bad dream! Terry and Dick are still in charge and hopefully once the season starts we can just get on with supporting the team!
