Last team of the season
Copps captain not a surprise
COYR
-
No lokilo or Bostock in the squad.
-
Is Fej injured? Nice to see Brad back.
-

Halliday farewell appearance?
-
We aren’t going to see much of the guard of honour for Copps on iFollow.
They have that stats screen in the middle of the screen and will probably go to an advert.
I hope someone has the sense not to do it (at iFollow).
-
Broke a rule never to give money away again to i Follow , no great surprise that it doesn't work yet again, what a bag of s***
-
Bloody hell. I'm filling up already here.
-

Well done iFollow.
Very emotional that, tears from Copps and I had something in my eye too.
-
Nicely done. He's in bits already.
Here we go. One last time.
#26
-
So is Copps, let's see a champagne performance from Rovers to see him off.
-
Bollox
-
One down
-
Terrible start from Rovers, look on our hollidays already.
-
Too easy for Peterborough, no challenge to the lad.
-
The posh fringe players look handy....
-
Nobody closing down.
-
2-0
-
Two down
-
0-2 mason
-
A nothing game we haven’t had a touch and 2-0 down after 8 mins
-
Copps being let down here.
-
Bad defending, but never a free kick
-
Shocking defending for the second. Terrible start.
-
Rovers showing their true colours! Poor.
-
Mason totally on his own inside the 6 yard area.
-
We are really crap
Not even trying for copps final game
Posh could play with 9 players and still batter us
-
Perhaps the players are prepared to concede 26 goals to give Copps a truly unforgettable send off....
-
Maybe Fergie will tell his lads to ease off a bit so as not to embarrass Copps.
-
Shit, only just tuned in, thought it was 12.30 ko
-
What an embarrassment and shambles we have become under AB’s tenure. Truly shocking decision to appoint him.
Farewell on the playing front Copps … all the best for your future.
-
Goodbye Butler. Embarrasing
-
Three down
-
0-3 Looks like the cricket season just started.
-
I hope the new manager is watching this shite
-
This new manager can't come soon enough.
-
Shit, only just tuned in, thought it was 12.30 ko
Turn off. Trust me.
-
I'm watching till Copps comes off then I will turn this tripe off
-
Shit, only just tuned in, thought it was 12.30 ko
So did Rovers.
-
Shambles it really is.
-
Nice send off for copps. Lads trying for a record defeat so it will be in the history books.
If Butler got a second interview it’s a joke needs cancelling. Glad it’s the last game don’t even react when the goals go In anymore I’m numb to it
-
Utter disgrace.
-
Blessing this. It will just rubber stamp how much change in personnel is required by the new manager.
-
Remember it’s not the players fault the board are telling them to lose lol
Think god most of these players will be gone
-
For the first time I'm 42 years of supporting I'm starting to get embarrassed.
What the hell has happened this year.
-
Embarrassing. Shambolic. Humiliating. Not just today but near enough every game since Butler has taken over. Catastrophic mistake appointing him and failing to do anything to fix it when it was clear he was out of his depth.
-
Is it just me who thinks we need better then butler in defences next year never mind as manager
-
This a weakened Peterborough side too, I hope the new manager is watching, he will be grateful he is going to lose a lot of this team when he comes in.
-
Goodbye Butler. Embarrasing
Agreed. Not good enough for the playing squad either.
-
If anyone does a MOM thread they should be banned for life...lol...
-
I hope the new manager is not watching, he’ll withdraw! We are being humiliated, I cannot watch this anymore. I’m glad it’s the last match of this horror season.
i feel sorry for Coppinger here too.
-

On the contrary, any new manager can justifiably demand the resources to make wholesale changes to the squad based on our form over the second half of the season.
-
26th minute fireworks.
-
I started watching Rivers in 1968 and as you can imagine I’ve seen a lot of poor and indifferent Rovers teams in that time but I’m struggling to remember such an extended lack of application and basic professionalism. Even the young lads sent out against Colchester in what I thought would be our last ever game at Belle Vue showed more heart than this.
-
This looks to be two really bad injuries.
-
26th minute fireworks.
What?...we’ve scored?
-
Ive never hated a Rovers team as much as i hate this one. There is absolutely no f*cks given here and a total lack of respect to Copps. Cant even be arsed to sprint to get to a man and we talk about wanting them to sign contracts? Forget it! Complete embarrassment to themselves and the club.
-
26th minute fireworks.
What?...we’ve scored?
Afraid not.
-
Is it just me who thinks we need better then butler in defences next year never mind as manager
He’s a decent shot stopper/blocker but other than that, he’s far too static, totally uninventive with his distribution and at times a liability. Trouble is, the board seem a bit on the sentimental side and will probably keep him on in some capacity.
Harsh maybe, but he should be nowhere near the coaching, managerial or playing side. He ain’t good enough, as proved these last few months.
-
How on Earth did their player just run through our defence there? It took a lunge from Wright to stop him, which has resulted in injury, and possibly should have been a penalty
-
Games stopped players just stood round pitch in there friend groups wtf , why isn’t butler getting them in a huddle and demanding some pride to send copps off
-
26th minute fireworks.
What?...we’ve scored?
Afraid not.

-
No offense to Greaves, its a big ask for him today, and I am not writing him off, but he's well off in every respect.
-
Looking forward to wholesale changes. We will see a couple a good players leave but all the rest can go for me. Terrible.
-
No offense to Greaves, its a big ask for him today, and I am not writing him off, but he's well off in every respect.
Glimpses of what he can do, that pass into TJJ was sublime
-
Gonna win 4-3, gonna win 4-3 :woohoo: :boxing: :scarf: Glass empty, need a refill
-
Peterborough reserves looking like Barcelona, us looking like the Dog and Duck from some local Sunday League
-
Hopefully never see bogle in a rovers shirt ever again, I have given him time to settle in and try and prove a point hopefully the new manager will ship him out on his first day
-
An open goal and a massive miss.
-
Pym great save f**king James that was shit
-
Don't just pick on him it is many.
-
The tide is changing. Copps on 96 career goals or is it 95 in which case we'll win 5-3.
-
I watched Leeds yesterday their players, professionals too, look so much more determined than our lot. The Leeds players look as if they get their sleeves rolled up these days, they look much fitter than Rovers. They play for one another and a very demanding manager!
-

Nice pass granted, but they are just running through us time after time, Greaves keeps rushing out and getting no where near the tackle.
-
Copps lays a ball off to Halliday, moves into space to receive and what happens? Halliday turns and passes backwards, that just shows how poor we are.
-
Is it just me who thinks we need better then butler in defences next year never mind as manager

I'm not defending Butler but the defence has been shite for a while. It has actually improved since he came back. (Today's game excepted)
-

I believe it is 97 goals for Copps.
Four down now.
-
Wow
-
f**k me..
-

Happy for ya
-
Where's the f**king midfield?!?
-

Wow, I just posted that and then they leave that gap in midfield for the 4th goal.
-
Double figures for Peterborough maybe
-
Halliday is f**king shite.
-
Halliday, that was embarrassing.
-
Why are Boyle and JJ occupying the touchline.....this is incredible!
It’s really really just a conference performance....
Will all those that attack the seemingly negative fans please comment on this performance, rather than sniping at the authors that show their anger?
-
Greaves has been better than most.
-
Where's the f**king midfield?!?
I've walked through Cusworth park faster than they can walk through our midfield.
-
Christ how can this have happened. It’s incredible.
-
We're not even league 2 standard! Need a total squad change, this lot are pathetic.
-
Just had a bet on Peterborough to score more than 6 goals
-
We need to start being tougher with players obviously we are too nice. This is where it ends up.
-
This is probably Louis Jones worst game too.
-
Halliday and Butler playing that guy onside there.
-
What’s our record home defeat?
-
I would happily drive Halliday anywhere he so desires away from this club. In fact, scrap that I’d drive a bloody bus for all but Anderson James and Copps on that pitch today.
-
Just had a bet on Peterborough to score more than 6 goals
I bet you didn't get very good odds.
-
What’s our record home defeat?
Check back at 2.
-
Any consolation? Possession 53:47% in our favour!
-
This is without doubt the most gutless half of the season by a Country Mile
-
Can we manage a relegation season starting Aug/Sept? That is the only option if this standard continues.
-

Save a seat for Bogle.
-

Win just over a fiver for a quid bet
-
Bogle missed such an easy striker’s chance there. He only needed to stick his foot out.
-
All we can be thankful for is that with all the loan players and out of contract players leaving is that the new manager has a fairly blank canvas to work with and hopefully no carry over of this unacceptable attitude to next season.
-
Bogle missed such an easy striker’s chance there. He only needed to stick his foot out.
Not sure he's got the bodily dexterity to do that. As stiff as a lamp post.
-
Absolute disgrace that first half, I really didn't think we could get any worse.
-
As things go that was up there with the worse we’ve seen this season. Whom ever is the next manager is, they have one hell of a task on their hands trying to get this lot to play football. It really is a good job fans are not in the ground today as most would have already left and those that remain would be giving this show of shit a right good boo’ing. We can only hope for better in the 2nd half as we cannot get any worse...... can it?
COYR
-
Pity the formula 1 is on late I could have watched that instead
-
This abject performance is just not acceptable, as. Rovers fan we can all take a beating from a far superior team ( its happened that often over the years that you accept we can’t win them all) but this! This is a total capitulation by a bunch of awful old soaks, journeymen and supposedly promising youth being traumatised for the rest of their naturals.
The fact that they are doing it on the day a proper legend hangs up his boots after a fantastic effort for us over the years just makes it so much more painful. If they can’t raise their game for Copps then when can they?
Just a complete disgrace, from that woke virtue signalling tw*t who brought in and formented this crap to players who don’t deserve the tag, Disgrace, ship this dross out and let’s start the new season with proper players of integrity and character.
We move on.
-
If fans were in the ground Copp's would be subbed on 90mins for a standing ovation, by the the time injury time was up the ground would be empty for the players walk round, and rightly so. Gutless and embarrassing .
-
Tom Biltcliffe on twitter saying you can't hear anything in the stadium apart from Ferguson and the Peterbrough players. Where is the leadership?
-
Butler should be nowhere near a 2nd interview, well out of his depth, can’t motivate players, even when he’s on the pitch
-

He’s not getting one
-
Maybe we are making a hash of it to end with a score of # 26
Only snag is us scoring twice
-
There is a noticeable absence from certain posters this afternoon.
-

I thought you meant 0-26 lol
-
Oh ohhhhh!
Fergies got 3rd string players on the bench....guess he might rest a few of the 2nd string and go for a real squad experiment.....
Tighten ya belts, this is about to get memorable...
-
There is a noticeable absence from certain posters this afternoon.
Shhhhhhhhh!
They are perusing the comments looking for contextual inaccuracies to hilite, and snipe at.....
-
If Crewe score one more goal we are down to 14th. Disgraceful.
-
My concern is that they have told us that they have offered contracts to some of this utter shite
-
Hopefully they withdraw the offers
-
My concern is that they have told us that they have offered contracts to some of this utter shite
They should withdraw offers to the majority of them. Without substantial changes to the playing squad, we run the risk of this form continuing into next season.
-
We have all our young players on. It’s very unfair on them in the circumstances. It must be to show the new manager what our youth scheme has produced.
-
Coppinger - what a man.
-
We have all our young players on. It’s very unfair on them in the circumstances. It must be to show the new manager what our youth scheme has produced.
And they look no worse than the 25, 28 or 36 year olds.
-
Greaves showed no passion or effort in tracking back for the 4th. He needs to do better. And Bogle....is the worst striker I've seen at the Club for a long time..even Curtis Main was better.
-
Peter Heritage was better
-

I bet all those young players are glad to be on the pitch though.
-
Peter Heritage was better
Remember his only goal for us, a screamer if i remember correctly.
-
I missed a chunk between the third goal and about 40 mins but overall I dn't think we've been that bad. Could easily have scored a few, plus hit the bar twice. There's a lack of confidence and team work, not picking up their players a few times, but the biggest problem has been the ball not falling for us, and has been falling for Peterborough. Seen us play much much worse than this over the years.
-
Not the young players letting us down
-
Much better second half so far. Very unlucky not to score.
Agree that Greaves was mostly responsible for providing no resistance at all in the first half.
-

And Bogle....is the worst striker I’ve seen at the Club for a long time.
Remind me, please, what is the length of Bogle’s contract?
-
What the f**k was that 4th goal seriously? Where is the professional pride. They just waltzed through. James and AJ were practically walking, and the rest couldn’t muster anything more than a half arsed challenge.
-
Blythe looks a tidy centre half
-
Greaves showed no passion or effort in tracking back for the 4th. He needs to do better. And Bogle....is the worst striker I've seen at the Club for a long time..even Curtis Main was better.
Even if Greaves did sprint back their player is still going easily past Anderson and Halliday.
-
As well as Copps there is lots of effort from TJJ, Smith and Horton.
Blythe is showing up well so far.
-

And who was manager at the time that contract was signed.....

-
Let’s not forget that Jones, Anderson Butler Horton Greaves are here next season and we’ve just allowed 4 goals in against Peterborough second squad doesn’t look good for next season

For crying out loud! :crying: :headbang:

Bogle subbed off, hadn't realised he was playing

At last!

He has never "played" for us.

He had one good game.
-
Have they greased the pitch?
-
He had one good game.
Which one was that, hound?
-
He had one good game.
Which one was that, hound?
Cant remember exactly but one of his early games.
His hold up play was superb and he was running at the opposition defence really well.

Cheers, hound! Wonder what happened to him in the rest of the games?
-
Down to 14th
-
That’s it lads, Copps off......forever.
-
And that's it for Coppinger as a player. Such a shame that he's had to end his career with this lot.
-
All the best, Copps...you legend! :woohoo:
-
All the best copps u legend and forever a rover
-
Some of this lot need to have a long look in the f**king mirror. Absolute spineless cowards.
James, I'm so sorry its ended like this. Love you to bits.
-
1-4
-
Fightback on!
-
We'll win the second leg.
-
Well done to JJules
-
Well that is a season to forget.
-
Well that is a season to forget.
Yes and we don’t get the manager and especially new players then next could be another over to the powers that be to get the next step right
-
Well we at least won the second half after another poor performance in the first. Got to say it was better in the second, but not a lot.
Thankfully the season is now over and I can have Saturdays and Tuesday back without getting pissed off with the football. Maybe I will have learnt to like football again by the start of next season
Good luck to the new manager whoever they are, he’s going to need it
COYR

The fact that no Rovers players showed any concern towards Joe Wright proved to me that Joe has been one of the bad apples. His lack of effort has been obvious for weeks. Although I hope he isn't seriously injured, he wouldn't have been hurt at all if he'd committed to a proper challenge rather than half heartedly dangling a leg.
