Just listening to this new podcast. First episode has Chris Brown and Jon Parkin on it.

Worth a listen, really funny so far. Worth a listen just for two of our former players. Waiting for jon parkins story about dave Morley!

I heard the snippet about Dean Saunders giving out the prize of a racehorse (with Mickey Walker sat on it) at training in his first week. Said all you need to know about Saunders and his desperation to be 'one of the lads'.

Quite like how "unrefined" it is e.g. "f*** this, f*** that" - very much like we're back in the dressing room.

Would we be as interested if they had no Rovers connection? Perhaps not as much.

Now that was funny. The next podcast will involve Andy Griffin who was a right back brought in by  Dickov in October 2012 and spent 2 years with Donny.

Yeah I enjoyed it and it was good to hear what was actually happening in that disastrous experiment season. Definitely be listening more often.

Yes I think you are right.  It was Dickov who didn't offer him a contract but allowed him to train with the club until he found a new club which in fact was Chester

Not hard to see why Saunders isn't in management anymore

A podcast done with Jon Parkin and Chris Brown.

Some hilarious stuff from the Willie McKay experiment with Dean Saunders in charge.

Starts around 13 minutes in.

No wonder we went down.

Some strong language so don't listen if you are easily offended.

Listened to these over the last week or so and I'm now up to date barring the Liam Lawrence one that they've just recorded. I like the "old pro's stories" format about the stuff that goes on behind the scenes - can anyon recommend any other decent podcasts of a similar ilk?

Thanks

The Magic Sponge with Rob Beckett and Jimmy Bullard has similar ones. Akinfenwa, David Bentley, Kevin Gallen, Graham Stack etc. It seems okay but I can't be doing with Bullard but you may enjoy it as it's of a similar ilk. Maybe not as behind the curtain as UndrTheCosh as it's a 'Dave' podcast so they'll have their lawyers involved

Quickly Kevin is also similar. That's with Josh Widdecombe and is a 90s football podcast. They actually recently did one where they watched the 'They Think it's all Rovers' documentary on the end of the 98 season. Their episode with Pat Nevin is also fantastic.

This podcast is brilliant, just listened to the one with Tony Warner. Really funny (all of them).
