Super6 update - thrilling or what ?
« on May 13, 2018, 05:40:55 pm by Donnywolf »
I am assuming (bad move) that today was the Final Round ? Cant be any more surely ?
It was exciting watching the scores change and the effect of our Top 2 who realistically were the only ones who could win - more later
Nationally 4 people had 24 Points (4+2) meaning they had all results right on the day !! Nationwide the Leader (or Winner) overall had 569 Points an average of 8.89 Points over the 64 Rounds. When put like that it looks easy - but we know it is anything but
Our Round winner Today was Rob Oliver with 16 Points so well done to him just ahead of Martyn Bentley on 14 and 6 more following on 13 Points
So assuming that was the last Round Gareth Law who has led forever has a 1 Point (yes just 1 Point) lead on 484 (avg 7.56 Points) over Dave Garfitt who of course finished on 483. Third place was Mike Turner on 468 Points and 4th was his Wife Eve on 464. The dunce of the Turner family was yours truly in a "lowly" 8th place
So when we get confirmation that is the Final Round then Gareth Law will win the Signed Shirt and well done to him. Leading "forever" he has held off allcomers and in fact was off the top during today's Games and losing by 6 Points but as they say the Tables dont lie and in the end we must say he was a worthy winner
The Second Prize -  Signed Photo of 10 Tommy Rowe was more clear cut but was won on a Tie Breaker by Paul Johnson over Peter Thompson and they as well as 3 or 4 others had the best weekly score with 21 but Paul J got the most Points over the whole Season
Many thanks to everyone who took part - theres no real Comp or challenge if nobody gets involved or shows interest so thanks to all those who entered (95 or so) - and they made it so interesting right to the last minute
Cheers DW - and lets get 100 next Season !

It’s a strange game. I was 3rd last year, having led briefly, and came absolutely nowhere near this time round.

Well done to the two winners and donny wolf for all the effort you put it to it being a community affair.

Thanks DW for the time and effort organising this. Same goes to BB for the P v O comp.  These two comps provided far more entertainment than the Rovers did in the last couple of months!

As I said on the other thread, thanks for organising it DW and great idea of the live updates today.  I lost to Gaz by one point and pretty sure I won it last year but could well bomb next year!

Good news (potentially). Due to the generosity of Paul Johnson the Tommy Rowe Signed & Framed photo has been donated as a prize for next year

PJ was happy just to take the Kudos for highest score (21) in a single Round - and so the Prize will feature somewhere next Season. May even be First Prize - will just wait and see what else crops up !

All the best everyone

Shouldn't it go to this year's 2nd place?

It maybe should go to the Second person in the Highest Weekly Score Comp but there were 5 in total

Paul was happy to receive it - no problem - then donated it straight back for next Season so good on him I say

Cheers DW
