Green hasn't played much and I'm sure Banks was on loan at Tranmere.

It's Wellens' first transfer window as manager so it's not that surprising to see a bit more than normal transfer activity, as he'll be looking to put his own stamp on the squad.

Looking on BBC Sport Paul Green has gone to Crewe on loan for the rest of the season.

I think he's going back because he posted an Instagram thanking everyone at Crewe.

He doesn't seem to have recovered from his loan to Ipswich early last season. Although I recall John Lundstram had some poor loan spell after us and before he went to Oxford. Probably needs to leave Everton at the end of the season and go somewhere permanently.
