Absolutely unbelievable.

Neoliberalism and austerity plus Brexit has destroyed this country.

How much longer can we have these in power for?

The last paragraph in that article is the most important. Investing in health services is a way of getting more people back to work.

For sure some take the piss out of the system, many more are crippled by it. Universal Basic Income would also solve most of the issues Sunak is referring to, and probably at a huge cost benefit.

And some of those genuine cases become crippled by the system because of those taking the piss out of it.

Not as black and white as you suggest. Mainly it's because the system is unintelligently managed as most aspects of benefits and social care are. Sunak's daily mail rhetoric shows his level.

I'm not suggesting it's all Black and White. If it were, the piss-takers would be identified sooner. It's the Grey areas that are the problem.

I was referring to the black and white in the suggestion that the problem of the disadvantaged in the system is mainly caused by the piss takers - its a daily mail perspective,  a use of the divide and rule method.

No, its mostly the fundamentals of the whole system of social care, including the lack of UBI, the under investment in health and social care.
