Today’s team
COYR
-
Happy with that lineup
-
I don't like to the use the term "must win", but today's game is very close to one if we're to finish the season in the top 6.
-
With Blackpool, Barnsley and Luton coming up I would say it is a must win game
-
This month will decide if we are a top 6 side for me getting a win and gaining points on those above and making a gap to those behind is what we need this month
Win today
-
Good morning everyone! A must win game, given the tough ones coming up.
-
Wimbledon twitter saying we've been sloppy so far, scrappy game,, wind not helping.
-
Listening to the game on Radio Sheffield.
It doesn't sound as though either side are doing much.
Maybe had a decent chance for each side but it sounds a bit drab.
-
Scrappy game. Not quite clicking yet.
-
What happened here? Who played the backpass and can someone kick his arse!
"26’ Donny decide to make life interesting by passing their keeper into trouble. He takes the ball past Folivi two yards from his goal line ... then falls over to win a free-kick. Bizarre."

Short goalkick by Marosi was returned by Downing, perhaps a bit of a lively back pass.
Their player fouled Marosi when trying to get the ball.
At the other end, Marquis heads against the bar.
-
Half time, a non event really.
time for a cup of tea I think.
-
Well below par this half against a poor side.
-
44'
John Marquis (Doncaster Rovers) is shown the yellow card.
HT : 0-0
-
In other games, Wycombe all over Sunderland from the stats. 62% possession, 6-0 on shots, and the one goal up.
Barnsley edging closer to Luton at the top.
Blackpool looking like they'll win, and Peterboro looking fairly even with Bradford.
-

Weird. Marquis is fouled. One of their players runs 15 years to take the ball away from Marquis and block him. Marquis touches him and the guy falls over... both booked. Ridiculous.
-
Let's hope that this was our customary bad half.
-
Sounded very poor that.you would not think we were wanting a place in the play offs.hope for a better second half.

Unlikely though isn't it....that we don't want to be in the play offs.

SUBSTITUTION | Rovers make a change at the break.
ON - Ali Crawford
OFF - Aaron Lewis.

Top save by Wimbledon keeper from Whiteman..
MARQUIS SENT OFF.
-
Oh, dear....
-
Two soft yellows. Players cant be sent off for that.
-
Marquis Off - that’s not helped.
Come on Rovers....
-
Marquis sent off. Absolutely disgusting. Tangled with goalkeeper. Wimbledon players got him sent off. Rovers should appeal immediately.
-
There goes our top 6 chances
-
Come on Rovers.
-
You can't appeal two yellows can you?
-
Unbelievable!
-
Rediculous second yellow although I think he deserved the first.
-
Can’t appeal yellow cards..
Chance to see how we can cope without him now, and on Tuesday..
-

From radio commentary it sounds like Wimbledon have targeted him all game, trying to get him booked.

No you can’t
COYR
-
Absolutely fuming over that. Neither of those were even f**king yellow cards. Yet again, officials fooled.
-
Can't appeal so all on Wilks now up front
Misses Tuesday as well
-
There goes our top 6 chances
b*llocks man, he’s hardly going to be banned for the rest of the season.!!
-
Rediculous second yellow although I think he deserved the first.
I don’t think he did. Their lad raced fully 15 yards to get in front of Marquis and kick the ball away. Marquis gave him a nudge and he goes sprawling. Never a yellow in my view. Clear yellow for the Wimbledon lad.
-
Blackpool behind again.

Could be a good think misses Tuesday but back ready to go full on at Barnsley
-
I'm wracking my brains trying to think when I've ever seen a worse 2-yellow red card. Those were two quite appalling decisions.
-

Agree wholeheartedly Alan. We're unlikely to stay up as well. In fact, it's probably best we just resign from the League now to save time.

Heffs at Rotherham ca 2006?

But we are not allowed to criticise referees, according to a few supporters.
-

A bit more than a nudge, a blatant push. You risk a booking with that sort of action.

Agree. The second in particular was pathetic.

Their lad made a meal of it. It’s a man’s game.

Think the ref apologised for the second one, a dive that wasn’t and cost us a penalty.!
-
There's a bigger issue here about League One becoming unbearable to watch. Wimbledon wasting time from mid-way in the first half when its 0-0 and they're bottom of the table. It was an act of 3 of their players looking to block a free-kick in the first half which led to the first yellow. That should be dealt with.

That's the one. I think the first yellow might have been for taking too long with a throw-in?
-
Can’t remember the first one..
-
Ffs
-
And Wimbledon score.
-
Need to get straight back in to this come on rovers
-
Smith and May on now.
-
The second yellow was actually a penalty. The keeper grabbed his arm and threw him to the ground. And the ref's sent Marquis off.
-
It’s been coming since the sending off we are imploding since the cup game
-
Turning this shite off. You can’t compete against 12 men.
-
Ffs Smith apart from his first game done nothing for me
-

And we have no recourse.

Couldn't agree more. It is so obvious what they are doing and the ref just shrugs his shoulders.
Plus, Marquis gets a literally incredible red, but Piggott goes into Butler's face with an arm in the first half and gets a pat on the bum.
-
We are going to get games where the officials see things differently, we just need to be better with the ball and not give them decisions to make.
-
Only saving grace being Peterborough & Blackpool getting beat plus Coventry lost last night.
Means top 5 have got away though so we’re the only target for chasers.
-
Small mercies - Fleetwood, Blackpool, and Peterboro all losing.
-
Why do we get such crap and incompetent officials at L1 level? Costs teams points and promotion. The EFL have to act.
-
If we could win would have made play offs another step closer
-
The Dingles go down to ten last week, and they win convincingly, maybe that is the standard we should be looking for.
-
Probably the reason why we are 6th and they are 2nd.?
-
Keep this form up we won't finish 6th. Certainly a disappointing month.
-
We could probably do with Portsmouth beating Charlton tonight so that we still have a shot a fifth and sixth places.
With our front two right now we are unlikely to score with a header.
Great save by their keeper from Copps.
-
Sorry to say this but my heart sank a bit when I saw May was coming on with us needing a goal. Hope he proves me wrong.
-
Wimbledon have the worst home record in the league, and have lost their previous 4 matches there.
Looks like it's going to be a thoroughly disappointing day.

And that all helps the next three wins taste all the sweeter #DRFClife
-
As an aside... the Wimbledon keeper's kit is remarkably similar to the outfield players. Is that allowed?
-
5 mins added time.
-
We are having a good go here, Mays shot blocked, then Smiths and then cleared off the line for a corner.
-
2-0 FFS
-
Well what now Grant ffs
-
It was likely with us pushing on so much and with ten men.
-
It was likely with us pushing on so much and with ten men.
Except the goal came from a big boot from a goal kick.
-
Giving up hope. If we can't beat two teams in the bottom 5 we are not deserving of a play off place.
-
Well what now Grant ffs
What are you asking of the manager exactly.?
-
come on lads a point would help
-
Oh dear.not sure we are good enough for play offs.some of our recent displays have not what would expect from promotion contenders.
-
no chance then
-
Well what now Grant ffs

We have been poor for us since palace game what bullshit excuse is he gonna come up with and not keep blaming refs we aren't even scoring now
-
Well what now Grant ffs

Well that was poor. Wimbledon were terrible but we simply couldn't break them down. Of course, playing the second half with the league's top scorer sent off for what can only be described as an unfunny joke doesn't help.
Put that behind us. Another game on Tuesday.
-
Oh dear.not sure we are good enough for play offs.some of our recent displays have not what would expect from promotion contenders.
We won't beat any team currently in the top 5 can't see us winning a game this month tbh
-
Also, this will be Wimbledon's first win of the season with a margin of more than 1 goal. That shows how crap they have been.
This is a proper dog shit result.
-

:"Cant se YOU winning a game this month."
Who do you support then.
-
Feck me, we have a goal ruled out in add on time last week.
Blackpool get one in the 6th minute of add on time this week to draw.
ref giving Sunderland every chance to win.... now playing ninth minute of added time.
-
On the positive side, three of the teams just behind us lost as well today and Blackpool only just got a point.
-

Sorry it messed up I have since edited it.
Blackpool draw at best
Barnsley local derby but can’t see them losing at the minute
Luton lose they don’t want to lose top spot
Bristol draw as they battling for they lives to stay up
Walsall again draw
That’s how I see the rest of the month

man of the match poll now up --> https://www.drfc-vsc.co.uk/index.php?topic=269503
