I can't quite get the grasp of replies/views ratio to whatever threads on this forum.

I suppose it's the mentality of whoever reads/views a thread and don't
leave a reply ? do you play for arsenal fc by any chance?

Here are some figures from threads since the game at the weekend.

'bullied today ' .....7 replies with 1278 views

' today's game '..... 19 replies with 1582 views

' the ref '...............69 replies with 2043 views

The reply to view ratio gets me thinking

A.....Are people sat behind their key board shit scared to leave a remark ?

B....is there people employed by whoever to trawl forums just to up the view count? and if so why?

I would have thought the ' today's game thread would have had a bigger replies count than viewed count if you get my jist, as surely this thread should have been bursting the back of the net since it's
a football forum about its football team in the main.

If no bugger posted on here it not be long before timble weed be bouncing around all the various rooms on here .

This is no dig towards the addmin of this gaff ,more pointing the finger at the lurkers I guess  pull your fingers out ffs and type som'ert
as surly you can better whatever shite I spew out.

What I could not stop laughing at was the most replied/
viewed thread on this forum so far this season to date

the said thread was the ' trouble in town' after the donny v codheads game in December. 92 replies with over 5000 views

What on earth does that above stat tell you all ? and most of you will
not like the answer

Maybe some of those people who don't post much have other things to do with their time (work, kids, caring for loved ones etc.) rather than engaging with the debate on here. Maybe they've engaged with previous incarnations of Rovers forums and have moved on. Maybe they just read the site for news now as other online media has grown to fill the void of our daiiy lives.

So if you really want to spend your time conducting amateur data analysis on this site those are a couple of factors you might want to insert in your database.

Are you also one of those who thinks a proper Rovers fan must go to every single game home and away for their entire lives?

It's 'summat' by the way.

I didn't go to the game on Saturday. I've read all the threads about the game as I'm interested in how we fared.

I'm not paid by the club and I'm not shit scared to type out a few words. Just don't have a great deal to contribute because I've no idea how Williams, Coppinger or the One Call girls fared.

What we don't know are how many that view posts are guests and not members.
This means that they can't post even if they want to without joining.

To be fair some threads aren't worth commenting on.

Maybe we all agree with what has already been said and therefore no need to reply?

So much 💩 posted on here with the usual moaning & WUM's and I've a very busy job so I like to read the comments but will only post if I feel strongly about something and I think it's worth commenting on. I agree that without posters it wouldn't be much of a forum but there are plenty on here with strong views and happy to post.

If you're looking at this forum while w**king I think you need to search a bit deeper into the internet, mate.

You might be right Filo but posters have a right to express an opinion. That is the whole point of a forum. I don't think that I have ever been bullied for my opinions. I have sometimes thought better of replying to a post rather than getting into a long drawn out arguement. Whether right or wrong we all have lives to lead outside football and want OUR team to do well.

For me it's more of a case that you may post something valid but there's no or minimal interaction from others in relation to the post and looking at some posts they just turn into a sla**ing match which makes you think what's the point.

I think it also depends who the poster is with regards to number of replies.

some interesting points brought up here and for the record I have no
idea what the answer is .

I have half an idea  that will help the post count but Iam having sleepless nights should I be bullied as mr.filo pointed out or laughed out of the forum .

but I will add on to one comment made ' if no bugger or buggers can
make the effort to post on whatever thread you all  will suffer at end of the day'

Look at the state of that Doncaster mad forum today, as it seems there talking to himself and last time there was any thread of substance dinasours were taking their last gasps of air.

Whatever happened to that zigger zagger forum that got set up sometime back? and did the founder members of said forum return
back home on here?

Forums are dying on their arses, full of old boys with only a few young bucks like myself not afraid to lay down the law when people get out of line.

Its all notifications and instant gratification nowadays. Even the establishment here caved in with this like system, which is a stain on mankind.

Old boys can have good ideas CIM and sometimes it's based on experience.

I live thousands of miles away from Doncaster. I have been able to attend 3 games this season which were Accrington away, Notts County away and Pompy at home. That will be my lot now for the season unless you count watching us against Plymouth on tv.
This forum is in my opinion a better way of getting a match report, finding out if we were unlucky or lucky during the game and find out how many chicken balti pies were purchased at Barnet away than any official site or skysports.
I contribute very little but appreciate the people that do as it does give us exiles a good understanding of everything going on at the club. It kills 10/15 of my working day and leaves me feeling more in the loop with all things DRFC.

Unbelievable Jeff

Just because you or whoever  else lives beyond the planet mars don't mean you have to hold back
on posting whatever on a whichever thread on here.

Fact that you have only been to a handfulll of games this season trumps me as that beats me hands down.

It's not as if you have to post on whatever match day thread or any other  persons that's lurking out
there in the woods.

Here is some homework for yer ,think of anything rovers related from your time as a donny fan
and start a thread about it on here .

Christ I could fill a book on here about things while watching rovers about this and more that, but
it would upset untold on here especially the that bit.
