What message is bill shankly trying to get acrosss

Moved this from other thread

Saw the above footage of bill shankly on old openings on match of the day isometime in the 1980s of bill shankly sat on the bench during the
lpool v Newcastle facup final.

His hand movements allways in that footage had allways had me lost
as to what message he was trying to get across to his team that day
out on the pitch.

It was not untill some 30 years after that I think I saw the answer
and that was only because I was sat up in the rafters watching a game at the nou camp when it suddenly hit what on earth shankly
was on about with his hand movements.

It type of gets me thinking on how much of the rovers fans at the KMS
have a full understanding about what is been played out in front of them both on and off the pitch .

I will have a guess and say 90% don't fully understand as too what is
fully panning out in front of them game in game out.

I for one put my hands up to above .

It's a brief clip, but I would suggest he's telling his players to attack and defend as a unit, eg. Keep their shape

' keep their shape '

That's how I saw it in the rafters at nou camp ,but I had to be up in the rafters to spot it.

From goal keeper to defence > midfield > forwards the whole Chelsea team moved across the pitch one two or three steps and back again in one motion as Barcelona passed the ball across their back line.

Nobody from the Chelsea team was shouting the order they all just did it at once as it seemed to have been drilled into them.

So are you within the 10% filo ? as Iam not that's for sure ,not if it takes me 30 years to understand
the above .
