Not really struck on any of those really, if Graham Alexander hadn't gone to Salford City I would have thought he eas worth a look, got Scunny there or there abouts with limited resources

Wellens - well we do have history with Oldham cast offs but no thanks
Would settle for Tisdale, McArthy, Grayson maybe.

Whatever happens, interesting days/weeks ahead and the usual suspects will slag off everything that's speculated upon. I won't miss fergie or his brand of football but I hope we get an improvement rather than a sideways or worse move.

Tisdale sounds good on paper but it does not automatically transfer. Aside from his personal attachment to the area, his contacts and networks will be based in that region and given we are talking about a league with fairly modest wages then dragging players ‘up north’ is not as appealing given what is on offer. Eddie Howe to Burnley was a good example to offer. Not saying he could not succeed elsewhere but he would be starting afresh in another part of country and building a new footballing base is not so easy with limited resources.
