I am also guessing that the departure of DF will possibly mean that KS will also leave the academy at some point when DF takes up his new post Wherever/whenever that is.

The Academy has gone downhill since KS replaced Paul Wilson with several good coaches leaving quoting his reluctance to listen to their opinions.

How can the academy go any further down him. We never produce good players to start with.

Why, is it, do you think, that we don’t produce the talent? The lads in the academy play the same teams/same boys, year in year out all the way through their academy careers...where is the challenge there?...boring boring boring! Do we also try to tie any real talent down early enough...no!!...we take a punt that any players of promise will hang around to get a scholarship...if any bigger clubs come calling then these boys are gone...sad but true

Wilson had been here around 15 years and we produced nothing. The few players we brought through that are potentially league standard signed at 16. Change is good, let's see over the next few years how Scarff does.

Sometimes people in the less high profile roles in an organisation, eg these coaches that left?, get "comfy" and aren't able to adapt to someone coming in and making positive changes. As said above, we can judge this change in leadership over the coming years, not just on whether the old boys (coaches) left.
