It's a no from me. I don't wish to read all the bile that will be written about him as soon as we lose a game. It will just seem wrong.

He was a reluctant captain, I can't imagine he'd be comfortable trying to play and manage at the same time.

We need him to be free to produce what he still does on the pitch, unhindered.

No, and don't think he'd want it either. Heard him speak a few times and he sounds like he got into football almost by accident, doesn't sound like he wants to go into coaching when he's finished playing at all. He's already got a business set up around sports mentoring I think and I expect he'll just do that full time when he's done playing.

Just no and he wouldn't be interested anyway.

I think he's said in the past that he's not considered other aspects of the game, such as coaching etc because he's given all his concentration and effort to the playing side.

I imagine he's picked up a hell of a lot of knowledge regarding coaching with his single-minded approach towards playing anyway, so I don't think he can be written off regarding a move into the coaching side.

If he became our manager, most people would find it difficult to criticize him in his capacity of a Rovers legend if things started going wrong, and maybe that could be a good thing.

Why can't he become a Rovers legend off the pitch as well as on it? If anybody deserves a chance, he does.

Trust me, 2 or 3 games without a win and people on here and Facebook would be in uproar!!

Personally for me I wouldn't want to see him as manager but I think it would be fantastic if he could be involved in the coaching team somewhere.

Not qualified and not interested.

But could be the 'sustainable' solution? ;)

James said he has no interest in an article to coach or manage the time away from his family is enough does want the extra time away.
Also seen a tweet today to say none of the senior players have applied for the job.
