Has had his contract terminated at Oldham.  Could come into the reckoning now.
   Fergie to Oldham?

How expensive does someone have to be to be good enough?

Why oh why would anybody consider him whatever his cost..A very good footballer but done nothing to show he should be even in the frame for our job...
I would certainly doubt that the powers that be would want him here either. He wasn't without his problems at times...

Darren Moore won MOTM, wonder if West Brom fans are moaning he's the perceived cheap option.

Wellens will Definately not want the job, due to too much travelling?

I'll do the job for twice the cost of the best candidate. That'll make me twice as good at the job.

Surely we're not looking at Wellens as a serious option?

If he's going to be a proper football manager he will have to. He can't expect to only get jobs within a few miles of home. Anyway, it's Donny, not Plymouth.

He'd be the last person on the list. It won't be him.

Doubt any Board would want to take a risk on Wellens unless they had to do so (Oldham). His public persona in media and on pitch is probably exactly the character a Board just would not want the hassle of dealing with week in week out. Life is too short!

Why would anyone even suggest Wellens as a possible.  FIled miserably at Oldham.  It's a joke.  Why are people blinded by past playing records.  Surely we can appoint someone better than this.   Can't knock his playing credentials. As a manager it's a NO from me

Nobody would have even given him a moments thought if he didn't happen to have been a good player for us.

Didn’t dickov get sacked at Oldham before we appointed him... I still to this day can’t understand why we gave him the job

He didn't get sacked, he walked because he had his backroom staff taken away from him because the club were up shit creek at the time, I seem to remember.

He was mates with John Ryan. There's no other reason.

His very modest Oldham side had recently dumped Liverpool out of cup. That aside, it looked very much like a mate of JR from the Man City / Cheshire golf circuit.

Wonder if we can hang on till WBA (already miffed to be a Div lower than Wolves) have a poor start and get rid of DM ?

Probably time scale against us but he looked useful last Season even if he could not keep them up (shame that was!)
