Yeah might stick my neck out on this, and say he's a buyer!!!!! a perfect Copps replacement for when that day comes.

Send the goalie back to Stoke, play LJ and see if we can afford Simms for the rest of the season......

Really pleased for Fej... I thought DM made a huge mistake in almost snubbing his preseason form, and totally deflated him, our asset  - you can't argue with results though.

Worst performance tonight by some distance is the camera man! Hope that gets sorted out before the next home game, not great when people are paying for this.

Reckon we have a shout at getting Sims for the season but not permanently. He's a cut above any player I've seen at this level. He reminds me of McIndoe in div 3 - just far, far too good for the level he's playing at, but he isn't complacent at all. What a player.

Pompey 2 up against Gillingham - Marquis got one...
In other ex-Rovers related news. James Husband sent off after 2 mins !
Nathan Tyson off after 6 mins for Chesterfield (injury I presume) & Watters scores for Crawley.

Sign him permanently when were promoted at the end of the season. :D

I would say there is still some way to go to be at our absolute best, but we deserved this result through hard work throughout the game and taking chances..

Great win..  next.!!

Plenty of effort tonight from all the players, but if I had to pick, my MotM would be Ben.

We were good and pressed hard all game, but far from perfect, you can see this team has sooooo much more. I was seriously annoyed at the beginning of the second half, it was being played like an end of season game with nothing hanging on it. They were there for the taking today, and whilst we did score a few, it could and should have been more.

Sounds like they set up for a draw - they only managed 4 shots and only one on target...

Crewe shared possession but Sunderland had 21 shots against four by Crewe.
I think Crewe will come and sit back against us.
I would take a 1-0 win.
