Soccer saturday in the States

Gonna be in New York over the weekend, and was wondering if they have access to Sky Sports over there as would ideally like to follow the game in a bar somewhere.

Had a look online buy can't seem to find any info.

When I was in the USA late 2012 I only saw US sports on the TV.  Perhaps your best bet is SSN or BBC website updates via t'interweb on your phone etc.

Maybe our ex-pats over there can help?

Fox sports and NBC are the main players and show more games here in the USA than you get at home. Just ask the Hotel to tune in and you are away.

Anyway, they're playing away this weekend and they don't have TV yet in Rotherham so it might be a wasted trip.

are covered by the fox network but the best thing to do is find a british pub , there will be a number , .and watch there while eating your fish and chips. don't forget the five hour time difference

When I was in the states most British bars had British tv inside so I'd imagine many will, though a lot will probably be showing live premier league football as they show the 3pm kick offs over there.

I spent a year in NYC (back in 2001/02) and my Saturday morning haunt was Nevada Smiths (3rd Ave between 11th & 12th streets if I remember correctly).

Probably won't have Soccer Saturday on but they do have a live Prem game on at 10am while usually recording another to show straight after. Wouldn't be surprised if they pop up the score lines for the rest of the leagues. (I used to use the pay phone in the corner of the bar to call for the Rovers score).

Despite being Man Utd HQ USA they're very welcoming and the atmosphere is either cracking (big games) or nice and relaxed (for smaller games). We'd usually get a nice mix of fans from various teams, divisions and countries (wear your shirt!). Super way to spend a Saturday morning. Might kind of defeat the object of going all the way there to spend a morning watching the footy but I'd recommend it

Championship matches are covered by Bein Spoprt   and NBC covers the Prem with Fox Soccer Plus and Fox  One covering F A Cup games.
