Nigel Clough, his brother Simon Clough chief scout and assistant manager Crosby have all left Burton Albion to help with the financial situation.
it could be just the tip of the ice berg.

Indeed it's the tip of the iceberg Selby , clubs at championship level and below are going to be hit massively as a consequence of the pandemic .

It's impossible to see how fans in the numbers clubs budget for will be re-newing anytime soon , firstly nobody knows when it will return and secondly it's unlikely that many will be making that kind of financial commitment when they are serious concerns regarding their own means to earn a living .

Advertising and sponsorship deals are also dead in the water for the foreseeable .

Personally I can see the transfer market totally collapsing too , if no bugger has any money then how can players be bought , clubs expecting pre pandemic valuations to hold up right now will be disappointed , £5m players become 500k players in times of collapse .

A very grim picture painted by our own CEO last week , as you know we are run within our means , what we generate is the budget , nobody but nobody puts capital in to the business from their own personal funds .

This situation can be likened to the sinking of the Titanic .At first disbelief ...everything on board carried on oblivious of the realities below decks .The band  plays on and  slowly but surely lifeboats are launched and some  folk jump ship and live to tell the tale of how things really were on board .Others perish and the unimaginable happens ...the Titanic goes under .
