Fantastic. We have a serous team here.
Full of goals. Bit more composure and it would have been 7-1
Bursik had nothing to do.
Whiteman and Gomes ran the show. Richards after a sticky start played very well.
Copps well Copps was Copps superb.

M.O.M   just Whiteman By a whisker.

DM for Prime Minister.  :)

Mmmmm, not sure about that last bit Camps.
He would have to replace Starmer or he would get hammered on here.

Great performance from all the players. My MOM - John Taylor!
Taylor was excellent but who wasn’t. Think we will have a big selection for M.O.M again.
It’s a great sign when any of the team could be picked.  Except poor Bursik who had very little to do.

Excellent.

We still need another central midfield player and then we are set for a good season. Gomes looks more comfortable higher up the pitch. Richards had an inconsistent performance but great finish.

JJ could do with a bit more support, but the right sort of midfielder would free up any other problems higher up the pitch.

We might have to have someone in Bens role if he carries on getting booked every week.

My only concern for Saturday is consistency. We’ve had one very ordinary game v MK and one above average game. We don’t really know what to expect just yet.

No we don’t .....but it’s kind of working, like watching a 3 legged greyhound winning a race

I thought Taylor had a good game. I was concerned but much better these last two games.

Our passing and movement is brilliant at times. We have to earn it though and we did the hard yards today to make sure we got the upper hand.

We have great options now. Only wish Fejiri would have put that away to get him going and give DM selection problems.

Excellent team performance. Pleased Taylor Richards got through it after some shaky moments.

It must be a joy to play in that team. Long may it continue!

Everyone was on it today, but Taylor for me had the biggest impact. One goal, one assist and he took the set pieces that created the first two goals. They couldn't live with him today.

It  took us a bit a of time to wrestle the midfield domination away from the Bristol side who started the game well and put us under pressure when in possession. Once we got in front however we started to dominate that area of the pitch, and with the front lads showing great movement we ended up looking dangerous with Whiteman again proving he is playing below his standard, his passing and reading of the game being way above this division and even the one above no matter what the Bansley manager watches.
Lokilo was stretching his calf or ham string before half time and had a great game, Coppinger was majestic when he came on with those short dinky passes in the oppositions half causing trouble every time he got the ball.
The back four have started the season fantastically all having great games, and we look a team with the substitutes just fitting in when called on.
Whiteman for me MOM but a great team performance with everyone contributing.

Only 1 of those Yellow cards was justified.
Bristol R second one. Foul on Richards I think it was.
The others just needed a word in their ear. Kettle has to be centre stage.
Most of his other decisions were good. I have seen far far worse from him that’s for sure.
He is in fact a lucky ref for us.

As for Bristol Rovers they must hate us with a passion. What a record we have in the last 16 years against them.

Excellent result.

Didn’t get too down about the MK game and not getting too carried away after the last 2, but we clearly have some talented players in this team, with Tulloch to come back. Bench looks strong. All credit to all the management team for identifying some very good young talent. Credit to the board for backing the manager in extremely testing times.

I pray we keep hold of whiteman. Whether we can financially is another matter but if we can, I think this could be a very exciting season.

Like others have said, tougher tests lie ahead. But, there’s not much to fear this year in this league. The traditional power houses will be seriously concerned about their financial situation I would imagine.

Very, very early days. But could be our year.

Let’s see where we are after another 5 games. IF finances allow, would still like a more experienced Center mid to join what we have. Sad that we can’t all get involved as fans to witness this attacking and youthful side in person.

Great to see Posh & Fleetwood losing.
Also Bolton 3 straight defeats in League 2

Oh what a day. :that:

But this is Peterborough season of revenge
He will be gone before 30th November. You heard it here first. If I am wrong you are welcome to come on here and tell me I don’t know what i am talking about.
Posh will win the league now I have said that.

Oh no they won’t.  :clapping:

Kettle is an idiot. One time in the 2nd half he gave us a free kick and paced out 6 strides.

I noticed that. He seemed to decide on the grass markings which he took to be 10yards when they are about 6yards.

Yes the biggest downer is we can’t see this team play in the flesh so to speak.

Fantastic entertainment going to waste. This team deserves 9.000 to 10,000 very noisy home fans shouting the team on to victory.

This is early days I know and we shouldn’t get carried away but keep this squad fit and we have the most exciting team since SOD’s days.
The fitness and pace in this team will blow most of the others at this level away.

Whiteman is a key cog and we need another defensive midfielder as cover or as someone to play along side him in some games where we may need to be tighter when not in possession.
Games away from home more often than not when we need to close a game down when hanging on to 1 or 3 points.

Jackett and Ferguson gotta be favourite for the chop.

There are certain things that you shouldn't say, and the Revenge Season comment was extremely crass at the time and if justice is seen to be done, then they will suffer.

We just need to keep enjoying what's in front of us. Not get too far ahead and not to get too jittery when we might lose the odd game!

We won’t win every game DBR it’s impossible. We only drew with MK Dons.  ;)

Seriously yes of course we will lose games. If we lose only 6/7/8 we may win the league.
One game at a time. That’s all you can play.

Wigan away looked a 3 pointer before today. They won at Pompey so does it now?
Who knows. But if we play with the tempo we played with today then I will back us home and away against any team in this league.

The key of course is being able to reproduce it nearly every week. That’s not easy.

Pompey haven't looked good so far still have most of the players from last season so can't be down to the squad gelling together maybe they don't want to play for the manger or are players that miss having the fans

I'm sure we all can come together and thank DRFC, DM and the players for providing some joy at these difficult times!

Fingers crossed about being able to thank them properly in the flesh at some point.

I think Kenny Jacket is a bit over rated as a manager imo.
With the squad he has got anything below the top 3 in this league is abject failure. That’s last season and this season.

As has been said the managers under pressure are Jacket & Ferguson. The others who a have huge expectations on them are Parkinson and Lambert.  Any of those not in the top 6 by End of November will almost certainly be picking up P45’s

By the way, did anyone notice we went 3 at the back today? Yet another string to our bow. Killed the game off, good and proper.

I wouldn't be surprised if he doesn't survive the weekend. Even last season the fans weren't keen on his bland brand of football. That's sometimes forgiven when you get results but when you don't the knives come out very quickly.
