Outstanding, professional performance. Shame to have conceded, but well done to all involved. Only problem with them scorelines is the game got a bit slow and dull in the last 40 minutes or so.

Not really sure why Micah Richards was having the piss taken out of him calling Copps a legend?

Anyone know who was Butler's assistants on the bench this evening?

I think it was his assistant at the Belles.

Fair play to their manager, seems a class act.

My son said the same in his text. I replied that he's a lot better than a lot of higher placed ones.

Very professional performance from our lads this evening.
Just what i was hoping for.
Thought we got a bit sloppy last 20 mins when we took our foot off the gas.

But 5-1 not much to complain about in that score line although being a greedy so & so i was hoping for 7/8 at half time.

As has been said their manager was a class act with his comments in his post match interview.
Good luck to FC United for the future.

A word on Jones, never had much to do really, no chance with the goal, but what I noticed is not one kick out wide went out of play and the one high ball he had to deal with he caught, keeps the shirt for me

Watched your game tonight and I thought you did a good professional job in a banana skin of a tie .

A young side could quite easily have not managed this game too well and playing Coppinger was a smart move by Moore in the circumstances .

Difficult for me to assess where your at in an FA cup tie away against non league opposition but the signs are good and you are clearly going in the right direction .

I read it as "any young players you want to get some experience "

 I bloody hope so.

It reminded me of the FACup game v Penrith on the ice around 83?  Thoroughly professional. It even had Whiteman doing a trademark Alan Warboys chested lay-off.

Penrith was late 1981 as mentioned on another thread the other day. Remember the game.

Somebody please confirm - in that debut I remember a Free Kick (I will say left of Centre) at the away end and Copps took it and it smashed into the Bar

Immediately I thought "wow a dead ball specialist" thinking he would take them all from there but then he didnt take another for ages

If memory serves, he came on as a sub in a pre-season friendly v Preston? , which was his first ever appearance in a Rovers shirt, and hit the bar from the edge of the area, and I remember thinking on similar lines that we'd got someone who could strike a ball! Little did we know he'd only use that attribute fairly sparingly over the years.

By eck, that is coming full circle. Wonder if that could be an omen for Liam. If he goes on to be a regular with us then, he'll be a good 'un!
