How not to set up a team playing at home
« on August 19, 2015, 10:54:12 pm by Big lad up front »
1 upfront
4/5 in midfield
Bang the ball upfront when in possession or play it into midfield where the midfield stop play, let the opposition get back & then can't find anyone
To slow
No one takes responsibility
Everybody looks to Richie or Cops they are painfully slow
So we just bang it upfront again
Sorry Mr Dickov this is Sunday league football
We look no better than last year a few new faces but same old
1 constant

Williams must be pondering what the hell he's done.

So you're moaning about only playing 1 upfront tonight but also saying 2 upfront also didn't work.
Maybe next week we should try 4 upfront and see

Dunno, but Swindon created chances for him.

It was 13 games at Swindon I believe before he scored a goal.
So not sure Swindon were creating chances for him then.
Also he's missed a number of chances already this season for us

Yes we could play 4 upfront but unless someone can find them we still won't score
It's not just this its the general play
The way we don't dominate anyone from the stat
We appear to come onto the field with no idea what we are going to do
I honestly thing PD sends his team out to see what the opposition have got before we decide how to combat them
We should take the field heads high look down on the opposition say we're here & we're going to get you
But no we end up as we've seen yet again tonight

I'm more concerned, "spadge", that the best service he's had to feed on in the games I've seen is hopeful 60 yard punts down the field dropping over his shoulder, with no supporting red and white shirt within 20 yards of him.

Hey, if there was evidence we were trying to play to his strengths or we were providing the right service but he wasn't making use of it, fair game. But we're not. So p'raps you should wind yer neck in.

Your staunch defence of the utter shite we are watching is admirable, but increasingly tiresome.

He's had chances, maybe not tonight but he had chances against Wigan, leeds and bury.
I think he'll score 20 goals this year,  if he does though then I suppose that will have nothing to do with the manager

I'll be very surprised if anybody scores 20 for us this season, but fair enough. It's a bold prediction for sure.

Which were the chances he had against Bury? I remember Leon Clarke missing a string of sitters. I didn't see that sort of quality of chance fall to our marquee signing of the summer all game. Perhaps I'd drifted off.

If he score 20 goals in this set your right it won't be anything to do with the manager
He'll have guaranteed himself a very lucrative move to a far better team
