Poor referee. Seemed to give decisions by numbers and blew up for a lot of inconsequential stull while letting worse things go. He did get the sendings off right (the 'keeper for violent conduct, Hume for two bookable offences) although his inconsistencies helped to get the players into a foul mood- Hume in particular.

He was also very tolerant of dissent from Oldham players and allowed them to surround him on a couple of occasions. The Oldham team are clearly built in the image of their manager, who used to collect yellow and red cards in his playing days.

He was dogshit. Doesn't even deserve a zero. Both teams have every right to be dissatisfied with his dire performance.
