Incredible how poor our site has been for a number of years now.
Do you use the Rovers Player App or a different one ?

I've had contact with the club and at the moment they can offer the following. We will be trying to put a better guide together when we can understand a few of the mechanics of the system better, hopefully within the next week. That was the circle it kept sending us in last night.
So, start here;

And then read this as well;

I know. I've spoken to the club again and we expect to have something better before the next broadcast which is the Owls game.
Thinking of signing up for this but the comments are putting me off slightly.
Does this service just provide commentary or do we get to view the action as well?
I'm based outside the UK if that makes any difference.

It'll make a hell of a difference to you. Being overseas means you'll get live streaming of DRFC games.
No app available yet for iOS. They're cutting it fine.I use the app on my iPad. Is that not IOS?
Where abouts in New Zealand are you Kiwi Rover
I'm in Auckland. Been here nearly 7 years now.
The app seems to run quite well.
App ? Is it available for I phone as I can find it in App Store ?I loaded it from App Store onto my iPad. Just search under Doncaster Rovers. Should see it from there.
You get 46 games with an overseas subscription which means if DR makes the play-offs you miss them. There are mixed messages about pay per game being available.
Yeah, it's pretty pricey here. And the current abysmal exchange rate won't have helped you. Wouldn't have seemed so bad a couple years ago when you got $2.50 for a quid.
It's a lovely place though, I'm yet to meet an expat who wants to go home.
I try to do as little as possible. NZ is a great place for that! But in the day they insist on me being a business analyst to make ends meet.
Gotta pay for those $10 beers somehow.

We've considered the possibility of emigrating. My missus is an audiologist and she would probably be in demand out there...
Is it like your western isle (Australia) and you need to get sponsorship etc...?

Couldn't really tell you. I came here married to a Kiwi I met in London, so it was a breeze for me.
It is slowly getting harder, don't think it's as tough as Australia though. They're really not keen on foreigners over there! They're not even happy about Kiwi's going there.
There's a required skills list somewhere. Have a look at the NZ immigration website. If you're on that (and you're white and speak English), you're off to a good start.
It's a good place to get away from it all. There are times you might forget the rest of the world exists.
Not much footie here, but they really, really like egg chasing!
i got it on today listened to Fergie but there was no picture
You probably got the service intended for audiologists
Wellington have a half decent football side that play in the Aussie league as well.

You can pay per game, and not ever game is shown to season subscribers. If the game is on the EFL international broadcast, as our game against Peterborough is, you can't watch it.
Presumably Phoenix don't qualify for the Asia Champions League because they're from NZ and count as Oceana, despite playing in the A league. Daft, really.
When Auckland City get prize money from the CWC (I think I remember reading it was $3-4mill when they came third - quite a pot), it goes to the NZ football federation and gets distributed around all NZ sides. I'd guess the 'Nix don't see any of it.
IFollow
Q: IFollow states that overseas subscribers can watch 46 games per season and that over 1500 games are to be streamed, can you watch any game or only those of the club you are registered with?
Q:Is there a Windows app available? How many non-live games can overseas subscribers watch? Are these game part of the 46 games quota?
A: Thank you for contacting iFollow support.
iFollow subscriptions cover the 46 league games; however, some clubs will be broadcasting some of their friendlies through the iFollow player.
Broadcasting is up to the club. Please contact the club directly at /contact-us/ to see which matches they will broadcast through the club’s iFollow site.
It states that 46 games are being streamed so I would think it is, but it will cost you $130 Euros for the overseas live package.IFollow

Is Saturday's game being broadcast? I'm out of the country and might try it although the app is useless.
Do the club get any money from this IFollow thing?

Straight off the EFL website;
Can I purchase a pass on a monthly basis or for a single game?
At present only season passes are available.
No it doesn't. What it did give you was an opportunity for a one off (free) audio presentation of the friendly against Wednesday. It states that 46 games are being streamed so I would think it is, but it will cost you $130 Euros for the overseas live package.IFollow

Not real fans then are they?
Club newsletter today says they are now offering match passes for £5 for overseas fans.

Apologise for what? Pointing out that the EFL have categorically stated that its not available on a match by match basis!

See above.
Not real fans then are they?Yes I have.
The difference is that I wouldn't want to watch my team for free and deprive them of the money needed for them to progress. An odd game might not matter but to watch all of your team's games for nothing is definitely offside (pun intended.)
I have no compunctions about watching the odd Premier League game and depriving the greedy big time clubs of the odd bob or two.
It isn't showing on our site still. Checked some other clubs and seems to be available elsewhere. Any suggestions?

I've signed up for the season pass but keeps taking my bank info etc and when i click to purchase it keeps returning me to the payment page again. This happens every time.

Could you watch the live games, say if you were on holiday overseas, or would your account be restricted by where it was registered?

I think that's the idea behind match day passes. I certainly hope so because of the amount of games I miss whilst travelling.
I'm in the UK SM.
I've read and followed the link. Something simple to do is becoming a nightmare

A VPN, might come in handy then 😜

That was my first thought when the whole thing was announced. I'd be interested to see if anybody not going today is able to access a stream using a VPN.
That's the other way around though Filo. Skygo is for UK consumption iFollow live matches are for overseas consumers.

Do you have to get someone to hold your cock when you're having a piss Frosty?
You'd think they'd overlay the commentary wouldn't you?
They're doing it anyway, right?
I'm pleased that it seems to be working well. Its been in the planning stages for a few years now and when they started to abandon certain parts of the project I feared the worst. Glad they left the live stream in place.

What other parts were originally in the plan that got abandoned SM? I'm intrigued to know what the original ambition looked like.

Question for sm
I have subscribed for quite a few years just for the away games I don't get too, and I always listen on my tablet and my son listens on his desktop.
On this new system can 2 people not listen too the game , it was cutting me off with the message already playing on another device
Don't wanting to cancel but can you clarify for us that it's not possible to listen on more than one device at the same time ?
Cheers redbrez
Yanks bud, and if it's resticted to one device , can they put an extra option for multiple devices ?
2 of my friends used the same 1 yesterday one in computer one on I phoneNot disputing that but when I tried it wouldn't let us. That's when they told me I could only be signed in on one device.
Yanks bud, and if it's resticted to one device , can they put an extra option for multiple devices ?
I'm in New York on 26th August.
So I can actually watch the game scheduled for that day ?
Apologies but I'm a bit late into this conversation.

Hi, I've had it confirmed officially that you can only use one device at a time. They will consider multiple devices at some future stage.

Yes. Set up an account and then pay for the game on the day.
