AJ Greaves looks at home here. Very assured.

I must be watching a different game?

Played ok for someone who is so young. This is not the time to throw him in.
Possibly man of match. Which game were you watching?  Opinions opinions.

Greaves was a 9/10 when we were out of possession and 6/10 when we were in possession. Overall 7.5. He did what he was good at tonight and helped up keep a clean sheet which has helped us win the game. Would have no issue with him playing against West Ham.

Great win, it was scrappy and disjointed but we’re still finding a way to play without Whiteman so to pick up back to back wins whilst doing that is no mean feat.

Who should we play instead?? If we can't play him now we might as well pack up the youth team for good

We haven't got anyone else !!

Not saying he wont make.

A, wins a win. Good discipline throughout. Thought AJ Greaves did OK. Some good touches and tackles, some not so good, especially the rash one at the end, but a great learning curve for him.

Thought Lokilo did OK when he came on as did Williams, all playing their part to make us difficult to get through.

Wasn't expecting champagne football so that will do nicely.

When is the time to throw in a 20 year old?

It was exactly the right time to throw him in. That game will have done him the world of good.

I know we won tonight but if we had lost it would have been meltdown on here tonight as we created so little against a poor team.

Yes we won so you might say what am I going on about. Just saying it’s all about the result at the end of the day and no one cares if we were below par if we get 3 points.

We are at bare bones but we won AJ didn’t buckle, yes he’s not the answer but he is another player for the squad in midfield with 26 games to play. 7 wins out of 8 games we are not doing bad.
We need 2/3 players if JJ injury is a bad one then we will see free flowing football. The team selected were not below par it’s the team we had and they did what they had to do.
Rochdale have scored 15 goals 4 out of the last 5 games Balcombe didn’t have a shot to save.

Good win and with the limited options available we did a professional job.. Now the key thing is to bring 2 or 3 new players in this week to improve not just the squad but the starting 11

What with RavenRover and Janso. Think I've got a fan club.

controlling the game, slowing it down and closing them out was very good in fact if they had done that to us there may have been a few complaints, another game ticked off.

Given that we are down to the bare bones of the squad, that was a very good performance. Special word for Lokilo who had his best 30 mins in a Rovers shirt for me.

It was a strong starting 11 & the newcomer to league football was MOM

I am not moaning Steve. Just being realistic. We dug in and and saw the game out.
Just offensively we created almost nothing in terms of chances. Our passing game never materialised.
Clean sheet and 3 points.
That will do for me.

Sometimes games are like that.
Not many teams get to play outstanding free flowing football every week, and I know that you understand that Camps.
As I said earlier tonight, we won ugly.

Paul we just shut out the top scoring side in the division over the last few games, and probably the top scoring side  in  the whole league over that period.
No team plays well every game, Manchester United and Liverpool were just as poor by their standards last night, that was top class rubbish.

We really are in excellent form. Players tonight who you don't often expect to shine or who don't get much chance to stepped up with the squad down to minimum numbers. They deserve full credit for that.

Greaves and Lokilo especially deserve a mention on that front. Thought Fejiri held the ball up well again too, it's a thankless task at times up front on your own, isolated.

Yes I realise we are not going to be at our best every game. I think I just expected goals tonight and was disappointed we only scored one.
But Rochdale hardly looked like a team that score goals, not on that showing they didn’t. So yes credit to our defending we nullified them.

But it’s a result business and we got the points.

So you watch a young lad make his debut and after 90 minutes you decide he is not the answer? Unbelievable
