Rover's odds are beginning to shorten in matches, only 6/4 against a win at Hartlepool with Skybet.

No Olowu, Anderson, Tomlin, Rowe, Taylor and Taylor seems slightly in front of Rowe with his recovery. Big Tom is not far away and could be back in full training this week (all courtesy of GM’s latest RS podcast).

That’s almost half a first team all out………..again.

So, the side picks itself, I.e. same as Rochdale except maybe Griffiths gets a run-out, so Agard isn’t playing 3 games in 1 week?

I sincerely hope Molyneux turns up for this one, as he’s been very underwhelming so far. Trouble is, he’ll be a marked man and they’ll know what he’s about. On the other wing, Hurst has been a bit in and out lately, form-wise, but he’s such a match winner when he’s on it.

This game will be a strange one, as I’ll warrant the lads will have one eye on Saturday’s game v the league leaders. I hope it doesn’t detract from tomorrow night too much!

Tough game.
Hartlepool may not have won yet but they have only lost 1 game at home.

Yes we need to be winning games v bottom of the table teams but football doesn’t work out like that.
Quite possibly be a 0-0 draw tonight and then we go and beat top of table Leyton Orient 3-0

That’s not what I am predicting but that’s football.

I am going for a narrow 1 goal margin win tonight and the same again on Saturday.

Oh Brian, Bobby Faulkner has to start in place off Olowu.
Unless Anderson is fit but I suspect he won’t be until at least the Carlisle game.

Other than above same team for me as Saturday.

Maybe start with Griffiths in this game and give Agard a rest so he's fresher for Saturday? Give Reo and hour or so, unless he gets injured  :s and then bring on Agard for the last 20/30 mins.

Molyneux allows space for Knoyle out wide. Their link up play was nice in the run up to the first goal.

Sounds like Agard will get a rest and Griffiths will come in. I think Griffiths will only get < 60 mins though.

I’d like to see what Woltman can offer also tonight.

What ever changes are made a win is the bottom line. Would like a better performance as well. So will see how GMC lines up. Faulkner looks like he’ll come in for Olowu, then will Biggins come in for Close and Griffiths for Agard we will see. Or we bring Biggins and Griffiths on earlier in the second half to rest Close and Agard. The managers decision but a win is the minimum requirement

So, another "must win" game and we're still in the first week of October.

Not sure why most people thinks it should be a walk in the park or should be beating teams like these, although they stare bottom they only lost once at home and it’s not as though we have been brilliant this season, can see a 0-0 or a 1-0 score line hopefully to us though but not a given

Rugby, a ‘win’, in the context of what lies ahead, would take some pressure off trickier games, surely. The Club’s stated aim of promotion back to league one can only be definately done by averaging 2 points per game, so therefore the pressure is there all season long. The less we win now just piles more pressure on later.

not must wins, but back to back wins havnt moved us into the playoffs, so we must be careful that a small gap doesn't appear between 7th and 8th places...

To me we are just getting going as a team, I didn't expect the start we had or as many points as we have at this point after seeing the fixtures before the start of the season.
Now we are starting to look as though the players know each others game and the manager's tactics and set ups.
I would go for as few changes as possible on the starting line up and introduce if or when required as I still think this team has a lot more to offer going forward, and the best of them is still to come.

Would like to see a convincing win with exciting football. But fully expecting something very similar to Saturday's match with rovers scraping the win.

I suspect exciting football is a bit optimistic at the moment. It'll come, but there can't be very much familiarity with each other or with the routines and expected positions as yet so safety first. I seem to recall the football under SOD was turgid in the extreme for almost a year before  things clicked. But I can't remember what the first 12 mnonths was like under Dave Penney! Did his superstar  brand of football arrive straight way?

This won’t be as easy a game as some are making out, they will be solid defensively and hard to break down and we normally struggle against teams like that and without the likes of Tomlin and Rowe it will make it even harder to break them down. Think there will be a couple of changes from Saturday, one being Faulkner in for Olowu and reckon biggins will come in for close although I’d keep close in for this one and maybe start biggins on Saturday when we’re likely to have less of the ball than tonight.

If Tomlin and Rowe are both missing, then surely Close has to start. If he doesn't, where's the creativity going to come from?

I can see Biggins coming in for Agard to strengthen midfield, not what I would like just think that’s what will happen

The trouble with that, DVR, is that we have all our available senior midfielders on the field, with, perhaps only Ravenhill as cover on the bench.

No Miller, muscle injury, Griffiths up front on his own, Agard on the bench and Seaman in for Close

Rovers: Jonathan Mitchell, Kyle Knoyle, James Maxwell, Ro-Shaun Williams, Bobby Faulkner, Charlie Seaman, Kyle Hurst, Adam Clayton, Harrison Biggins, Luke Molyneux, Reo Griffiths.

Can’t say I’m confident with that line-up.

Odd team selection for me. Hope GM proves me wrong, but im less confident about a win now.
