If it’s 4-2-3-1 then who is playing where in the 3? Hurst always plays on left so is it Seaman or Molyneux in the middle of that? Both spectacularly badly suited to play behind Griffiths.

No Miller, muscle injury, Griffiths up front on his own, Agard on the bench and Seaman in for Close
Are we playing 433 or 4231
Clayton Biggins and Seaman as a three
With Molyneux on right Hurst left and Griffiths up front.

Where does Biggins play in a 3 if Clayton is in there? Away at Hartlepool on a Tuesday night with a depleted side has 2 holding midfielders written all over it.

If we don’t know how we are going to play, the opposition won’t have a clue :silly:

Copps caretaker manager whilst a long drawn out recruitment process determines that Copps is best for the job

Stop prolonging the inevitable. It's the right thing to do.

Well, if that wasn't a template for this season I don't know what is. Terrible football for 85 minutes with no form, structure or tactics, brief 5 minute spell of something approaching recognisable football. Go behind. Someone limps off injured. Lose against a very bad side.

This is the lowest professional level of the English game and we are playing horrific football game in and game out. Is this as bad as it has been this season? Third best in a game against the only side in the Football League without a win this season, or indeed in the last 20 games.

We are as bad this season as last season, just that the opposition is largely worse, so we get some results now and again. The consistent is our terrible football from back to front, stinking the place out. What an embarrassment.

Said it pre match very odd team selection. Got what we deserved. Its terrible to watch. I just dont know what the plan is and more importantly neither does GM.

He can go for me. No desire in that team tonight.

Yep he has to go. The level is so poor it's the only reason we have close to the points we do. We won't get promoted like this.

Horrendous once again. Had a spell after our goal, as you'd expect. Rest of it, f**king dire. Utterly shit. If we accept this, we have some embarrassingly low standards.

Another dismal display. How much longer can we keep on putting in dire performance after dire performance. It looks like we have no idea of any kind of style that we want to play or tactic to try and exploit a teams weaknesses. The results we have picked up are not sustainable over the course of the season and we are only going one way with GMC in charge. It’s time to make the change and give the new man a chance to get his feet under the table before the January window to try and salvage something from this season before it is too late

Wellens got the sack after a performance like that, but against a team that weren't bottom of the football league or hadn't gone 20 games without a win.
I won't hold my breath.

Woeful. Just woeful.

I wonder which player GMS will hang out to dry this time? Never takes any responsibility for his clear ineptitude.

Why the anger, surprise and hostility? Have some of you not been paying attention for the last 2 years? The day Wellens was appointed I said it was an atrocious decision by the board. When McSheffrey and Copps were appointed I said we needed an experienced manager, but too many shot me (and others) down. And look what we have now got, little chance of getting back out of league two. We have all got what we deserve.

What was Reo like tonight?

He put the effort in but was isolated in the first half.
Long hopeful balls pumped up to him against two central defenders.
He looked better after Agard came on and actually played a great ball to set up a shooting chance for Agard and shortly afterwards laid off a great short pass to Biggins who shot wide from six yards.

Gotta say that biggins has to be the worst signing of the summer. Box to box dynamic midfielder he is not. To rest close and start him is a disgrace.

Utter garbage. They all were, apart from Faulkner, Mitchell, and Molyneux.

We had enough chances to win the game 2nd half.
Too many players taking too long before shooting.
1st half simply not good enough.
2nd to everything.
Why can’t this manager get us performing for 2 halves?
New it would be a tough game. Hartlepool are far better than their league position suggests.
But we still should have been good enough to get the 3 points.
Next 5 games are make or break for GM imo

We were poor in both halves of the game. 5 minute spell in each half we actually turned up. 80 minutes of that game we were third best, and played terrible football.

Bobby Faulkner m.o.m. once again.
Thought he was outstanding defensively and even showed how to score a goal.

He had a average game, I think he was made to look outstanding with the other 10 clueless players around him
