Probably like many I haven't had a chance to run my eye over the team yet but may toddle along to the Sheff Utd friendly. From what I hear from McCann, what can I expect to see that's different?1. Fitter. Sounds like he's set a higher bar in terms of fitness and has put more emphasis on being able to sustain a performance throughout the 90 minutes. 2. Quicker. Coupled with the above, keep the tempo at a higher notch and move the ball quicker with better movement. 3. Strategy. A clearer strategy where every player knows their job without fear of changing formation during a game and week to week. 4. Efforts on goal. He's said the rate of taking chances to shoot etc, needs to go up. I'm sure we can all relate to that. Hopefully, with a more settled formation and the right pegs in the right holes we just might see some players flourish. I'm looking forward to the positive effect the return of Andrew will have and I think this could be a new start for Whiteman. Crawford and Malik sound like they've got an eye for goal which should provide more back up for the overworked Marquis. We have some good young players as back ups and will be able to fill in when called upon. We need a better season as far as injuries are concerned as last season was almost catastrophic. We can't be that unlucky again surely!I have a feeling we'll be pleasantly surprised at what we see!

Why don't you go fishing then instead of showing how stupid you are on here?
Yaya, you are depriving some village somewhere of an idiot.

I think the real Yes men are the ones who say yes to spending their money on attending matches, earning themselves the right to give a positive or negative opinion on the team's performances by doing so. I also think that this forum is an ideal outlet for this.
I was rather hoping to talk about football but alas, another thread hijacked. It's getting to be a waste of time on here trying to discuss the merits of the team without tiresome, childish remarks spoiling it. Hopefully soon the actual football will do the talking.
The bookies who are paying out hard cash and risk losing it but are all wrong, the sports writers are all wrong unless they quote exact word-for-word comments throughout supported by video evidence

I haven't said either of those things. Prove me wrong if you're that bothered. But you can't so you won't.
BACK ON TOPIC Donny, I posted a couple of days ago on another thread, there is no reason why we cannot be the fittest team in the division, Rotherham prided themselves from the start of last season to be just that, and with a team of little football ability got promotion. They were not averse to stopping a game with the tactical foul, when teams threatened to break into their half. I am not advocating making it part of our game, but at times last season it was noticeable that it disrupted our play, and we were not as equipped shall we say, being younger and not as cynical as the Rotherham, Scunthorpe and Shrewsbury's of this world, Bristol Rovers at home being the best example of us being bullied. As for shooting more often, I noted in the report of the Birmingham friendly that Coppinger and even Alfie May had shots from outside the area, so something must have been said.
