As titled....

EFL prepare iFollow service changes with 3pm kick-offs gone to protect attendances.

No surprise really.. notwithstanding some supporters’ genuine concerns about returning to stadia, the fact is that we can have pre-pandemic attendances as of 19 July.

Shame for us exiles. The ability to watch Rovers week in week out was one of the few highlights of a pretty crappy year (well, at least until February!)

It wouldn’t surprise me if it returns in some format over the next few years; I really don’t think the impact on matchday attendances would be that severe compared to the revenue generated by streaming to those who wouldn’t be attending anyway. If I was close enough to attend regularly the ability to stream for a tenner a game wouldn’t be enough to keep me away.

Yes gutted as an exile living in Scotland. Watched every game last season. It’s a shame that they have to do this carte blanche as they’ll lose income from me. But guess there isn’t an easy solution.

It seems to be unclear on whether us exiles around the world and not in the UK will be able to get all the games. I f**king hope so.

I wouldn’t worry PDX, iFollow was designed for people like you, it’ll be available for proper exiles.

This is great news. It would be the death of away followings and football as we know.

Is there a definition of what is a "proper exile" anywhere?

How do the IOM, Jersey & Guernsey rate?

Evidently you're only a "proper" exile if you're able to watch iFollow at 3pm on a Saturday.

U can watch in Uk with a VPN , plenty of time to do your research before the season and it’s £5 a game not £10 can be useful for supporters in Uk the live far away

It’s quite an interesting word actually, and has a defined answer, although modern usage is normally meant as someone who has left their home country.

Not sure what your point is Nick.

Plenty of places, cost varies depending on who you get it off, as does quality.

NordVPN is good but it isn't free. £10 a month I think? so not exactly dear.

Exile or expatriate ..neither term would help to answer the question of the Channel Islands ..

Surfshark is as good as any and one of the cheapest.

Echo your thoughts entirely. Looks like I'll be playing golf in East Lothian this winter every Saturday.
Hopefully we can still watch midweek games on IFollow.
