... what can be done !
I have found this on Twitter just now and hope its true ?
Forest Green in League Two 2019/20 (ratio rankings):
24th - Shots
20th - Shots on-target
22nd - Shots in the box
19th - xG
18th - xG from open play
23rd - Touches in the box
21st - Deep completions
24th - Very deep completions
1st - Possession
1st - League position
Jeez if this is true I am truly surprised !

It is true but usually those kind of figures catch up with a team eventually and they'll drop down. Stoke are the opposite, they have some half decent figures such as 8th highest xG, they'll be one to keep an eye on if they stick by their manager.
For anyone interested, this is us this season so far. One of the best teams with the ball and getting shots off. Defensively middle of the pack, will hopefully improve when we play the "weaker" teams in this run coming up.
Doncaster - per 90 data
Shots - 1st
Shots outside box - 1st
Shots from play - 2nd
Touches in the box - 2nd
Ball losses - 7th least
Passes per 90 - 3rd
Key passes - 2nd
Long passes - 19th
Progressive passes - 4th
Progressive runs - 3rd
Deep completions - 1st
For anyone wondering what a deep completion is, it's a pass that's completed within 25 yards of the goal, very deep is within 15 yards of the goal.

Our stats read really well, we just need to start hitting the back of the net a bit more.

Just to add since the Lincoln game we've outperformed the opposition based on xG in every game minus against Coventry. So 6 of 7 league games.

There’s only one stat that counts really.. hitting the onion bag..

Thanks for that - I too thought surely they cant sustain that - and figured they would eventually get better with some of the Stats or the 1's at the bottom would be 15s or 16s

.... or two - conceding less in your own onion bag as well ?

There’s only one stat that counts really.. hitting the onion bag..
Which you do by getting shots off and getting balls into the right areas which is what stats can tell you. If you're not doing them then you won't be up there.

Those stats for us are very impressive.
Hold your nerve. We're going to be fine.

I know that, but those other stats are perhaps more important for the coaches and players, rather than the fans..
I can tell by watching the game whether we look competitive or not.

yes I know mansfield are winning 6-1 today in the 99th minute against 9 men Oldham ( with Gary Woods bless him in goal) but what were their stats considering they "allegedly" had a stronger team this year than last
-
I had a very deep completion last night with the wife, started off in open play, a few touches in the box, a bit of deep completion, a shot in the box and finished off with a shot out of the box.
Rather enjoyable too. I was very good.

There can be anomalies when there is a small sample size. Forest Green will no doubt tail off.
