thought of the day

If you were in the Liverpool camp would you consider say up to five million of the Torres money a risk on Sharp.Personally I think with his enthusiasm and effort he might just be what they want but maybe it goes back to the 60s and 70s when some great managers looked for the Keegans of this world.

I tend to agree. I think the only reason Charlie Adam is on their radar is because he's playing in the Premier League. 12 months ago Liverpool wouldn't have given him a passing thought.

Not really sure it would go down too well with their fans either...'Right, we've just sold Fernando Torres, quite possibly the best striker in the world, and to replace him...this lad from Donny Rovers!'

Even the Scousers blind love for King Kenny couldn't help them see the bright side of that one.

All fair comments in present day football but cant help thinking that some players under the radar could do the job.Twelve months ago who would have gone for any of the Blackpool stikers one of which Derby County would have given you free.
His old manager at Crewe knew he could do it and had to tell Holloway who has admitted untill then he did not give Varney a thaught.
And is DJ Cambell any better

But Campbell is quick.

Players with pace get more of a crack than somebody like Billy.

never in a million years would that happen.
